Bubbles for the Festive Season! New Arrivals from Loire Vallery

🥂Crémant de Loire Brut Vintage Blanc 2023 (18€)

This Crémant is a pure Chardonnay, with which Bouvet once again impresses. The fruit has been developed in a manner typical of the grape variety: yellow apple and mirabelle plum go hand in hand with a refined citrus aroma. Alongside this, there are hints of brioche and lightly roasted nuts. The fine bubbles are smooth and fresh, creating a lively finish.

Alcohol content: 12.5%

Food and wine pairing: from aperitif to end of meal

🥂Saumur Brut Nature Blanc Zéro Dosage 2022 (24€)

Really dry, crisp and fresh, with depth. The bouquet is defined by herbs, fresh pear, apricot and a pinch of sea salt. It lingers delightfully on the palate and slowly fades away with aromas of roasted almonds and brioche.

The base wine, made from Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, is first prepared in large wooden barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle fermentation. What makes this crémant from the famous Saumur appellation so special is that no sugary dosage is added during disgorging, which makes the Zéro incredibly pure and straightforward.

Alcohol content: 12.5%

Food and wine pairing: Enjoy on its own as an aperitif to reveal its full aromas, or pair with a seafood or fish meal.

Highlights of the week: Carignan grape and Orange wines

For this last weekend of October, from Thursday on, swing by the shop to taste and learn more about Carignan grape. Free tasting.

Mediterranean by nature, originating in northern Spain, it has become one of the ‘Gang of Four’ most widely grown grape varieties in the south of France, mainly in the Languedoc region.

Long the most widely planted red grape variety in France, now in third place, it has become much higher in quality and flavour thanks to the work of natural winemakers and the technique of carbonic maceration. A true flavour enhancer, it reduces acidity and softens tannins. You will fall in love with its candy-like side, aromas of red and black fruits. It can offer notes of black cherry, leather, prune, and notes of cocoa and spices.

On Friday, our way to celebrate Halloween is to pour our Orange wines. Free Tasting. No need for pumpkins or costumes, just come as you are!
