🥩 La Galbi (Korean BBQ Short Ribs) 🍖
Craving that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and smoky? Here's how to make La Galbi, the ultimate Korean BBQ dish!
Ingredients:
For the Marinade:
1 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar (or honey)
1/4 cup sesame oil
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp grated ginger
1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) – optional for spice!
For the Ribs:
2-3 lbs beef short ribs (cut across the bone for thin strips)
For Garnish:
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Extra sesame seeds
Instructions:
Prepare the Marinade:
In a large bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients and whisk until the sugar dissolves.
Marinate the Ribs:
Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring the ribs are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for maximum flavor!).
Grill the Ribs:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated short ribs for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Garnish & Serve:
After grilling, garnish with fresh cilantro and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice, kimchi, or your favorite side dishes!
