Who said eating three different African soups has to mean three different stressful cooking days? 👀

Egusi.
Afang.
Ogbono.
Three pots of goodness, prepared and sorted through batch cooking.

Because when you're working, studying, raising a family or simply trying to survive a busy week in Germany, you deserve an easier dinner. ❤️

And the best part? You can get the African ingredients you need in one shop.

One shop. 3 soups. Sorted. 🌍🇩🇪

And if you're wondering where to get everything you need to recreate this at home; You can shop your favourite African groceries from the comfort of your home on the ZEEBAH website.

One shop, all your African food essentials delivered to your doorstep. 🛒❤️

If you've ever walked into an African grocery store in Germany and wondered why people are buying what looks like a dried plank.....this is for you. 😂

That's STOCKFISH.

It looks intimidating when it's dry, but once it's properly soaked and cooked, it adds that deep, familiar flavour to so many African soups.

From where it comes from to how to prepare and store it, we've put everything together in this carousel.

Now settle the debate:

❤️ Stockfish lover

or

😭 Stockfish hater?

Save this guide and send it to someone who has no idea what to do with that hard piece of fish. 😂

Some meals don't just feed you; They take you home. 🌍🇳🇬🇩🇪❤️

Grounded ogbono, palm oil, crayfish, stockfish, bitterleaf, shaki.....add your favourite protein and let the pot do its thing.

Abeg, living in Germany doesn't mean giving up the taste of home.

And that first swallow with hot eba? Different level of happiness. 😋🥳

I really craved this ogbono soup and eating it now is pure delight!

GERMAN GROCERY SHOP OR AFRICAN GROCERY SHOP — WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? 👀

If you're living in Germany, you've probably noticed that both types of shops have their place.

At a typical German supermarket, you're likely to find everyday essentials such as bread, milk, potatoes, pasta, vegetables, fruits and many other household groceries.

But when you're preparing your favourite African dishes, you may need ingredients that are much easier to find in an African grocery shop:
🌰 Egusi
🐟 Stockfish
🦐 Crayfish
🍌 Plantain
🌾 Garri
🌿 Ugu and other African vegetables
🌶️ African peppers and spices

It's not really GERMAN SHOP vs AFRICAN SHOP.

It's about knowing where to go for what you need.

And for Africans living in Berlin & Brandenburg, having access to authentic African groceries can make cooking those familiar meals much easier.

Save this and share it with someone who is new to Germany and looking for African groceries.

YOUR CHILD CAN GROW UP IN GERMANY WITHOUT GROWING UP DISCONNECTED FROM HOME.❤️

For me as a mother, keeping culture alive starts with the little things:

Teaching my child my local dialect.
Cooking African meals at home.
Sharing the stories, sounds and traditions I grew up with.

But raising children in the diaspora isn't always easy. There are different languages, different environments and the constant question of how to give your child the best of both worlds.

Culture doesn't have to fade with distance.
Sometimes, it lives on in the words we teach, the food we cook and the traditions we choose to pass down.

Save this as a reminder: what we teach our children today can become what they carry tomorrow.

IF YOU'RE A STUDENT IN GERMANY, PLEASE HEAR THIS BEFORE YOU LEARN IT THE HARD WAY. 🇩🇪🎓

Moving abroad is exciting, but nobody tells you enough about the everyday realities.
The studying.
The budgeting.
The loneliness sometimes.
Finding your people.
Learning to handle life without your usual support system.

For this Diaspora Life Wednesday, we're sharing advice from a student who is actually living it.

Not everything has to be figured out at once.

📌 Save this for the days Germany feels overwhelming, and share it with someone planning their move.
