The city of ZARUMA is located in a traditional zone well known for the best coffee in Ecuador. This area is surrounded by mountains between 1.200m and 1.800m above sea level in front of the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful permanent fresh climate. This is a privileged region because o

f it's biodiversity. It’s well known for the quality of the coffee all over South America. The grown beans are selected by hand, they are transported well to drying areas where they proceed with the fermentation and wash of the seeds. The fruits that haven’t been washed are dried directly to the sun and produce a “natural bean” which gives a sweeter taste. Thanks to this process, the green bean wash and natural permits the roaster to perform a mixture between them to achieve this fantastic distinguished aroma, taste and acidity. The cultivation of this coffee preserves a big amount of native trees from the zone like avocado, guaba, banana that bring shadows and a natural habitat for birds and other animals in the fields providing a sustainable and friendly environment.
