Used some fresh yeast and spelt flour to make Milk Bread and something called Buchteln (German dish) with homemade vanilla sauce and cherry compote. Both tasted really yum and light. Less sugar as usual.

A Mary Berry recipe that I twisted a little to make it less sweet and also used gluten free flour like Singoda and Jowar. It’s Fathers Day in Germany so this cake was for my father in law. ❤️It’s a good cake, nice and coconutty 🥰

Another one from today, tried baking with Rhubarb for the first time. I’m not sure I’m a fan 🤔 Chris said it tasted great, though I’ve not yet tried. This was from the book ‘A new way to cake’ but I reduced the sugar to half. Used half a tsp rose water too, which added an interesting element to it.

Yummy sourdough bread rolls inspired by the GBBO books. I have been baking just not been posting 😜 They smell really yummy if you’re into the taste of garlic and herbs and olive oil. Can’t wait to dig in. ❤️
