“You replace a lot of CEO’s - how well does it go?”

This question was asked by CEO & Founder of GoMore, Matias Møl Dalsgaard at this year’s TechBBQ in Copenhagen.

What are your thoughts on the question?

Start-ups change their CEO’s a lot. A US study on start-ups showed that by the time the ventures were 3 years old, 50% of Founders were no longer the CEO; in year 4, only 40% were still CEO; and fewer than 25% led their companies’ IPO.

This panel will discuss the role of the Founder vs. CEO and look at the advantages and disadvantages of a Founder led start-up as opposed to hiring an external CEO.

The speakers of the panel were Ann-Christine Roope, Matias Møl Dalsgaard, Stefan Bruun (Managing Partner of Nova Founders Capital) and Rasa Strumskyte (Chief Strategy Officer at Talent Garden)
