🪸🍷 These aren’t corals. 👀
Our underwater w**e bottles may look like they’re covered in coral… 🪸
but they’re actually the result of six months of marine colonization. 🌊🦪🐚
Polychaetes, bivalves, sponges and many other marine animals quickly make the bottles their home🐚
But here’s the surprising part:
many of these animals have very short life cycles🫧🦞
So when we bring the bottles back to the surface, most of them are already gone🌬️
What they leave behind are their calcareous structures — creating these incredible, unique patterns on every bottle. 🐚🍾
And remember: coral grows only about 1 mm per year😌
So six months underwater?
Definitely not enough time to grow a coral-covered bottle.
Nature made these designs.
We just bring them back. 🌊🍷
