Hmmm 🤔
Finland knows how to make headlines.
The Finnish tourism board has launched a contest offering a completely free week long trip for food lovers. Winners will explore the country's emerging Nordic food scene, from foraging wild mushrooms in Lapland forests to dining at Michelin starred restaurants in Helsinki.
The package includes roundtrip flights, accommodation, cooking classes, and meals at six different restaurants. Activities include a smoke sauna dinner, a berry picking excursion with a local chef, and a visit to a reindeer farm.
Tourism officials confirmed four winners will be selected. Applicants must submit a 60 second video explaining why they love food. The contest closes August 15, 2026.
This offer suits home cooks, professional eaters, and anyone who has ever planned a vacation entirely around restaurant reservations.
Free flights. Free meals. Free foraging lessons. Finland is not playing around.
