La nueva añada de Pago de Otazu Chardonnay 2024 (D.O.P. Pago de Otazu) presenta un color amarillo brillante con reflejos dorados. En nariz despliega aromas florales vivos acompañados de notas cítricas y fruta fresca sobre un fondo especiado, mientras que en boca destaca su elegancia y esa fina mineralidad que define nuestro terroir de influencia atlántica.
The new vintage of Pago de Otazu Chardonnay 2024 (D.O.P. Pago de Otazu) presents a bright yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it displays vibrant floral aromas accompanied by citrus notes and fresh fruit on a spiced background, while on the palate it stands out for its elegance and that fine minerality that defines the Atlantic influence of our terroir.

"Eco (brick)" (2017), de Iván Navarro, construida con neón, ladrillos y vidrio espejado, forma un círculo de 179 centímetros de diámetro que multiplica la luz hasta convertirla en algo que parece no tener fin. Navarro explora en su obra la arquitectura del poder y la repetición como forma de resistencia: estructuras que atrapan, que encierran, que se replican. En Otazu, sin embargo, lo que permanece es otra cosa: la sensación de estar ante un espacio sin fondo, donde la luz no se apaga sino que se pierde.

"Eco (brick)" (2017) by Iván Navarro, built from neon, bricks and mirrored glass, forms a 179-centimetre diameter circle that multiplies light until it seems to have no end. Navarro's work explores the architecture of power and repetition as a form of resistance: structures that trap, that confine, that replicate. At Otazu, however, what lingers is something else: the feeling of standing before a space without a bottom, where light does not fade but simply disappears.

"El Espíritu del Vino" (2019), de Pablo Armesto, habita en el corazón subterráneo de Otazu. Una barrica que flota, que asciende sobre las demás, que desafía la lógica del reposo y convierte en escultura aquello que normalmente permanece en silencio. Armesto, cuya obra transita entre la luz, la materia y el espacio, encontró en la barrica el símbolo perfecto: el recipiente que guarda, que transforma, que da forma al tiempo.

En Otazu, incluso el lugar donde el vino duerme es una obra de arte.

"El Espíritu del Vino" (2019) by Pablo Armesto lives in the underground heart of Otazu. A barrel that floats, that rises above the others, defying the logic of rest and turning into sculpture what normally remains in silence. Armesto, whose work moves between light, matter and space, found in the barrel the perfect symbol: the vessel that holds, transforms and gives shape to time.

At Otazu, even the place where wine sleeps is a work of art.

La fantástica serie de esculturas “Mirror Balloon” (2012) de Jeppe Hein, realizadas en fibra de vidrio y laca, crea la ilusión de globos reales suspendidos en el aire, listos para despegar en cualquier momento. En Otazu, el arte también habita en ese instante de suspensión: un equilibrio entre lo tangible y lo efímero, donde la forma refleja, multiplica y transforma la mirada. Como estos globos que desafían la gravedad, nuestras obras invitan a detener el tiempo y a descubrir nuevas dimensiones en lo cotidiano.
The fantastic "Mirror Balloon" (2012) sculpture series by Jeppe Hein, crafted in fiberglass and lacquer, creates the illusion of real balloons suspended in the air, ready to take flight at any moment. En “Soñé que revelabas (Obi)” (2014), de Juan Uslé, la pintura se construye a partir de la repetición, el ritmo y la superposición de capas. La obra plantea una reflexión sobre el tiempo y el proceso, donde cada gesto queda registrado como parte de una secuencia continua que articula la composición.

En Otazu, esta dimensión procesual de la práctica artística encuentra un paralelismo en la elaboración del vino: un desarrollo sostenido en el tiempo, basado en la precisión, la acumulación y la transformación.

Arte y vino comparten así una misma lógica de construcción, donde el resultado final es inseparable del proceso que lo origina.
In "Soñé que revelabas (Obi)" (2014) by Juan Uslé, the painting is built through repetition, rhythm and the layering of strata. The work invites reflection on time and process, where each gesture is recorded as part of a continuous sequence that articulates the composition.

At Otazu, this processual dimension of artistic practice finds a parallel in the making of wine: a development sustained over time, grounded in precision, accumulation and transformation.

Art and wine thus share the same logic of construction, where the final result is inseparable from the process that gives rise to it.

Christian Andersson creó estas tres piezas de la serie "Scanner" (2012) con MDF, motor, acero inoxidable y acrílico, y las dotó de movimiento. Cada una de ellas, que gira a una velocidad aproximada de 1000 rpm, es una copia de las placas en blanco y negro del test de manchas de tinta de Rorschach.

Como consecuencia del movimiento acelerado, las formas dejan de interpretarse como evidencias clínicas, dando lugar a una amplia diversidad de lecturas posibles: estos objetos en rotación veloz, ubicados en el límite entre lo orgánico y lo inorgánico, desafían la percepción del espectador.
Christian Andersson created these three pieces from the "Scanner" series (2012) using MDF, motor, stainless steel and acrylic, and endowed them with movement. Each of them, rotating at approximately 1,000 rpm, is a copy of the black-and-white plates from the Rorschach inkblot test.

As a result of the accelerated motion, the forms cease to be interpreted as clinical evidence, giving rise to a wide diversity of possible readings: these rapidly rotating objects, positioned at the boundary between the organic and the inorganic, challenge the viewer's perception.
