Now, let's dive into my Falafel Recipe:
Ingredients:
* 250g dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
* 1 onion, chopped
* 2 garlic cloves
* 1/2 bunch of parsley, chopped
* 1 bunch of coriander, chopped
* 1/2 teaspoon Espelette pepper (adjust for your spice preference)
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
* 5g baking powder
* 45g flour (any type, I prefer spelt flour)
* Salt & Pepper to taste
* Optional: customize with cardamom, nutmeg, fresh ginger, or lime zest
Instructions:
1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until well combined. Leave some chickpea chunks for that delightful crunch.
2. Shape into small balls and deep-fry until golden brown (3-4 minutes).
Pro Tip: Freeze the fried falafel for later use. Simply reheat in the oven whenever you crave them!
