🤯 MANCHESTER CITY ARE ABOUT TO TAKE TRANSFER SPENDING TO ANOTHER LEVEL.
Manchester City could become the first Premier League club to make THREE £100M+ signings in a single transfer window.
Elliot Anderson — £116M ✅
Ayyoub Bouaddi — around £100M 🔜
Enzo Fernández — £120M potential deal 🔥
And this is where the story gets interesting.
City have already broken their own British transfer record by paying £116M for Anderson. They are now pushing for Bouaddi, while Enzo Fernández has emerged as a potential target with Chelsea reportedly demanding £120M.
If all three deals happen, we're talking about roughly £336M on THREE midfielders.
That is not normal transfer spending.
But I actually think there is a bigger football story here than just “City are spending crazy money.”
Manchester City are rebuilding.
Pep Guardiola is gone. Kevin De Bruyne is gone. Rodri's future is uncertain. Bernardo Silva has moved on. The midfield that dominated English football for years is being completely reshaped under Enzo Maresca.
And City aren't rebuilding cheaply.
They're basically saying: we don't want a transition period.
Personally, I find this fascinating because spending £300M+ doesn't automatically guarantee dominance. Anderson, Bouaddi and Fernández may all be excellent players, but putting three expensive midfielders into a completely new system is another challenge altogether.
If City complete all three, the pressure on Maresca will be enormous.
Because when you spend £100M+ on a player, “he needs time to adapt” becomes a much harder excuse to sell.
£300M+ spent.
Now show us the football. 👀
