This embroidery workshop is led by Amelia, founder of Paloma Stitch in London, together with Louise Mérus of Danskarby Green Kitchen.
During the workshop, Ami guides you through the basics of hand embroidery, teaches essential stitches and techniques in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
After a rewarding afternoon of creativity, you will be treated to a colourful vegetarian dinner prepared by Louise, using seasonal ingredients and flavours.
This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, learn a new skill, connect with other like-minded people, and enjoy a memorable creative evening together.
Whether you are brand new to embroidery or want to freshen up your skills, this workshop offers the perfect combination of creativity, craftsmanship and good food.
Open to all levels
You will learn basic stitching including straight stitch, back stitch, stem and contour stitch, split back stitch, chain stitch, satin stitch, French knots and lazy daisy stitch.
Skills you will gain:
Introduction to embroidery materials and tools
Work with embroidery bows and needles
Choose and work with embroidery thread colors
Eight basic seams
Techniques and ideas to continue your embroidery at home
Material:
Amelia will prepare for each one a handmade embroidery kit. Everything you need for the day as well as further training at home!
Embroidery bow, needles, threads, scissors, needle threader and a pre-printed linen seam sampler to work with in class.
Amelia will also provide each of a Paloma Stitch embroidery design called FLORA and thread so you can continue sewing at home.
