💞 We are a couple that enjoys sharing the culinary heritage of Indian cooking and the connection good food brings. ✨️ We primarily do this by hosting cooking classes and potluck events for individuals, families, or larger groups!

OUR LATEST CRUSH! 😍

It was a pleasure to cook for close friends recently. We made a combination of recipes that have been on repeat a few times already this past month! 🔁

On the menu were:

✅️ Brown dal - Whole red lentils simmered with onions and tomatoes and tempered with fresh spices.

✅️ Tofu tikka masala - Marinated and roasted chunks of tofu and green peppers in a decadent tomato-oat cream sauce.

✅️ Onion pakora - Shallow-fried onion fritters in a spiced chickpea flour batter.

✅️ Haldi rice - Basmati rice simmered with whole spices and turmeric.

The customary cucumber slices always pairs well with Indian food as it cuts the spice and is very refreshing. 😎

We’d like to thank all of you who came for our Brunch event last Sunday 🌷. It was wonderful catching up with friends old and new. Thank you for all the delicious food and memories made. We had people from almost seven different countries🇫🇮🇮🇳🇯🇵🇨🇳🇫🇷🇱🇹🇺🇸. We’d love to meet you all and many more again in our upcoming events. Hyvää viikkoa ja nähdään pian 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

We had yet another opportunity to meet 🤗, cook 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳, and catch up with our friends from Ukraine Ukraina Talo 🇺🇦 🇫🇮. This was special because we had children in our cooking course this time. They did well in the kitchen making some Indian food 🇮🇳🥘. We also had their mothers trying out some recipes. Our menu for the day included aloo patties (potato puffs), mixed vegetable pakodas (fritters), fried rice, vegan kofta curry, brown lentil dal, and some caffeine-free masala chai. It’s been wonderful meeting these lovely souls who are warm, friendly, loving, and brave 😇. Thank you Kristina Leskakova for capturing these beautiful memories 📸, thank you Marina Govorukha for being so kind to us, thank you Ukraina Talo for the opportunities you give us to meet and make new friends each time 🙏

It was such a joy to meet old friends and make new ones at Ukraina Talo this past Friday. Cooking together and bonding in this peaceful meeting space created a moment we will never forget. 💙💛

We’re grateful for the opportunity we had to share some Indian food with our new friends at Ukraina Talo, Tampere. We cooked together, ate together and spent the evening getting to know each other. It was lovely to meet these brave and beautiful people. We hope to continue our friendship and support each other in these challenging times. 💕

WARM MEAL SEASON!

And just like that summer seems to have ended in Tampere. ⛅️ It has been an eventful (read hectic) past few months for us. It was lovely meeting a few of you during our potluck event in July. Moments like these are why we started our FB page/instagram blog - To connect meaningfully with as many of you as possible. ✨️

As the mercury dips 🌡, we will continue to hold as many meet-ups as we can. To those living in/near Tampere, feel free to reach out for a warm Indian meal/company. 🙋🏻‍♂️ There is something so comforting sharing life over a warm meal in these times of uncertainty we live in. 🍛

We wish you well, and are happy to be connected however little we may know you. Take good care of yourself and feel free to reach out to us! Have a special week ahead! 💖

A BIG THANKYOU 🤗 to all our friends who joined us for our potluck last Sunday. We had a lovely 💕afternoon filled with wonderful conversations, delicious food 🍱, and good weather ⛅️☀️.
