Game night doesn’t mean whisky only.

Cognac works surprisingly well in easy serves. Highballs, ginger mixes, citrus-led drinks.

Big crowd. No fuss.

Who you got for the big game?

Cognac is brandy.‹‹But not all brandy is cognac.

Brandy simply means “distilled wine.” But to earn the name Cognac, it must be made here, in the Cognac region of France, using specific grapes and a precise double distillation in copper stills.

That’s what gives cognac its refined, elegant character and what sets it apart from brandies made elsewhere.

Ever compared them side by side? The difference speaks for itself.

Thank you for being part of this community and for shaping it with us.

And just so you know
 we’re only getting started.
‹Stay tuned, there’s a lot more to come.

Cognac and mixers? Absolutely.

You don’t need anything complicated to make it work. Ginger ale, tonic, soda water, or a splash of citrus. All of them highlight a different side of cognac.

Start simple, taste as you go, and find the mix that suits you.

Have a favourite pairing? Tell us below. We’re taking notes.

Cooking with cognac? Absolutely.

A splash of VS or VSOP adds depth to sauces, desserts, and festive dishes.

Save the XO for the glass and the toast that follows. 😉

Ever heard someone mention “rancio” when talking about cognac?

It’s not a secret code! It’s one of the most fascinating aromas that appear in well-aged cognacs.

Think roasted nuts, dried fruit, a hint of umami
deep, layered, and unlike anything else.

Have you ever come across rancio in a glass of cognac? Tell us what it reminded you of.

Cognac at Thanksgiving? Absolutely.

Its notes of spice, dried fruit, and vanilla pair beautifully with everything from roasted turkey to pecan pie.

Serve it neat after dinner, stir it into a spiced cocktail, or share an XO around the table. ‹‹It just fits the season!

So, what’s cognac actually made from?

Here’s a hint: it’s not grain.

Cognac begins with grapes, mostly Ugni Blanc, small, acidic, and perfect for distillation.

They might not make the best wine, but they make exceptional eaux-de-vie.

Want to see where it all starts? Let us know below.

Ever heard of the “Paradis” in a cognac cellar?

It’s not just a name, it’s a place.

Where the oldest and rarest eaux-de-vie rest quietly, untouched by time.

The air is still, the barrels breathe, and every drop inside is a piece of history in the making.

Want a closer look inside ours? Let us know below.

Borderies, Petite Champagne, Grande Champagne

What do they actually mean?

In Cognac, these names refer to crus: the different growing regions that give each cognac its own personality. The soil, the microclimate, and the exposure to the sun all play their part.

Ever compared cognacs from different crus?

Let’s talk terroir in the comments.
