In our opinion, one of the best loaves of bread in town (and there are many contenders) is the Jean Valjean. A crusty chunk of sourdough heaven that is sold by weight. If you have good self control you can just buy a slice. If it's still warm then that's not an option for us. Full loaf, and a third is usually eaten before we even get home. If it's available we always try and include some on our tour!
