H A P P I N E S S 😃 D A Y!

So apparently today is International Happiness Day. This photo is me caught in a moment I felt truly happy. It’s taken on the Pont Des Arts bridge with my honeymoon in Paris with my new husband. The sun was blinding me but I felt so content and being on this bridge is a memory I’ll cherish.

The truth is though, that moments like this are easy to be happy in. It’s the moments that aren’t like your honeymoon that are the hard ones.

In the past year a lot has happened in my life and emotionally it’s been a challenge. Here are some things that have helped me in a tough time:

💫 Meditation
💫 Self-help books
💫 Fiction books (for fun & escape!)
💫 Yoga
💫 Time in nature
💫 Music with a positive message

Y O G I 🧘🏻‍♀️ SQUAT (malasana)

I wasn’t going to post this because it looks odd doing yoga in front of a TV. We’re so used to seeing yoga performed with beautiful backdrops and I will also post photos like that, but it’s also important to show the “real” stuff.

It’s also not the most flattering pose, but The Yogi Squat is my favourite pose because I find it fun & enjoyable. I find it releases stress and anxiety.

I’ve been leaning into so many spiritual practices lately and am finding who I truly am underneath all of the influences of the world and society’s expectations.
I meditate daily (often multiple times a day), practice yoga and read enlightening books.

I got the best news regarding my health today after a very stressful time. But I’m actually so grateful. In my darkest moments, it led me to spiritually, meditation and towards wanting to be a better person. I am beyond blessed and I’m going to truly dedicate myself to being my kindest, truest self. Expect to see so much love on my social media from now on. It’s all I want to put out into the world 🙏🏻💚

Felt good to have a clear out and do our bit for the planet at the same time. I believe some of them also get donated to various charities too 🥰
