We’d been corresponding since they took the decision to sign-up to our site, then the world as we know it went wrong. Never mind, we at last had the opportunity to stay over at this fantastic in
Akin to all of the places we have tried, the functionality is spot on, the decor is lovely and probably the most important.. the hosts are absolutely superb!
We had a mixed ride up from Poitiers that day, which seemed to mainly involve chasing the sun, however far north we rode we just couldn’t seem to make it to the blue sky. Cue being 10 miles away and the sunshine putting in it's appearance… finally! As we pulled into the visual was superb.
After we had settled into to our gorgeous room adorned with art (wife loves cows - so do I in a different context 🤣) we sat around in the comfy lounge getting to know each other first hand. We then enjoyed and felt privileged to be asked to join them for dinner, Amanda excelled in the kitchen and we resumed our chat around the table. What the three of them have achieved is absolutely stunning, given the last couple of years problems. Warm, friendly, charming, brave, adaptable and fun are just a few pointers to the three of them!
The breakfast spread was as you would expect excellent and included some of their side business’s jams and preserves from Confiture La Bouyardière. After coming to the conclusion all were fantastic we plumped toward the Apricot and gave it status. It was that good that we stopped in Domfront-en-Poiraie , on route through to grab some for home. I even got the chance to be Simon’s apprentice behind the counter! 🤩

There is something to do every day, and just doing nothing or reading a book in the garden is certainly an option. The swimming pool will be constructed in the spring of 2022, a 'piscine naturelle', well in time for the summer of '22.”
