Greece is often overlooked among Europe’s great wine-producing countries. It may produce fewer bottles than France or Italy, but its wines are truly iconic.

During a Greek-themed wine event, I naturally brought a Greek wine. After all, as a devoted follower of Dionysus, how could I not? 🍷

And not just any grape variety: Assyrtiko, the star of Greek white wines and the emblematic grape of Santorini.

This particular bottle, however, comes from another famous wine region: the Peloponnese.

A fruity wine with notes of pear, lemon, and exotic fruits like mango, along with a wonderfully floral and aromatic nose.

A dry, light-bodied white wine, perfect for an afternoon with friends.

The name Hermes refers to the Greek god of travelers, messengers, and commerce.

The message is clear: drink Greek wine! 🇬🇷

Trust me, these wines are hidden gems. Made from unique native grape varieties, they offer flavors and aromas that many wine lovers have yet to discover.
