The oldest distinction of our production was attributed to an eau-de-vie from 1811. This eau-de vie presented in 1913 by my great-great-grandfather received a gold medal during a regional competition.

Starting from 1771, under the royal notaries" control, Francois Gaborit passed down Pierre Nalbert, his son-in-law, his properties around Mérignac, ranked as Fins Bois in 1936. His son Denis, starting from 1833, wrote for many decades: April frosts, wind, droughts and hailstorms that often took away the crops, when the family wasn"t sick. At that time the still was a wood-fired pot of 396 liters, so only some of the wines was distilled. In 1862, we count 33 casks of wines with 9 of red wines and 24 of white ones and 2 casks of the same year eau-de-vie.
In the 20th century, the estate grew despite of wars and ill luck under the control of Denis, then under Pierre Mousset"s, Poitou Charentes Regional Councilor and President of the Chamber of Agriculture, who installed most of the vineyard and the first boiler of 25 hectoliters in 1973.The second still was installed by his son-in-law Bernard Vaudon married to Anne Marie Mousset, uniting the efforts of two wine-grower families.
