🐐 Last few spaces for this Sunday’s Scottish Cashmere Goat Therapy Retreat 🐐

We only offer this special retreat three times a year, and places are limited to a very small group to keep the afternoon relaxed, personal and immersive.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy upgrading our farm and we’re so excited to welcome you back and show you what’s new.

Come and meet our friendly herd of rare cashmere goats, including our adorable three-month-old kids, before learning all about our pioneering Scottish cashmere project, from harvesting the fibre to creating beautiful finished pieces.

You’ll also be able to explore our Yarn Barn, now full of small-batch Scottish yarn and fibre, and visit our new Goat to Garment Shop, featuring:

One-off knits from Lisa 2 Hats, made using homespun and naturally dyed yarns from her rare breed sheep in Angus

Fibre art seascapes of Lunan Bay by Lynda Marshall, created using Angus fibres, and botanical printed silk scarves

New Scottish lambswool and merino blankets inspired by Lunan Bay, milled in Keith

We’ll finish with homemade bakes and speciality coffee from local roasters Sacred Grounds in our farmhouse garden, with stunning sea views across Lunan Bay.

The journey from goat to garment is anything but fast.

Every fleece at Lunan Bay Farm is carefully hand sorted, graded and stored before it ever becomes luxurious Scottish cashmere. Each fibre tells a story shaped by our coastal climate, regenerative farming practices, and years of selective breeding.

Cashmere processing is a slow, meticulous craft. From combing the goats in spring, to sorting the finest fibres by hand, to preparing batches for spinning and knitting, there are no shortcuts if you want exceptional quality.

Here’s a small glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work that happens long before a finished scarf or garment is created.

Want to experience it for yourself? Join us at our next Scottish Cashmere Goat Therapy Retreat on 7th June, where you’ll go deeper into the fascinating world of cashmere production, meet the goats, learn about fibre processing, and enjoy a relaxing immersive experience here at Lunan Bay Farm.

A rare opportunity to truly understand what makes our sustainable Scottish cashmere so special.
