Next month's special is the long awaited Pulled beef Brisket & Extra Mature Cheddar Porter Pie.

Slow-cooked for up to 12 hours, our tender brisket will be cooked until it effortlessly falls apart, allowing it to soak up a rich, glossy brisket gravy packed with flavour.

Topped off with a generous layer of extra mature cheddar cheese and encased in our signature all butter pastry, this pie will be a true comfort food favourite.

We are currently finalising our brisket supplier, so pricing is yet to be confirmed. We'll update you with full details as soon as possible.

A massive shout out to all my fellow bakers battling the heat today πŸ₯΅

I only have a twin deck commercial oven, and that thing already pumps out enough heat to make you question your life choices, but I know some of you are standing in front of 6, 8, or even 12 deck industrial ovens, you're basically working on the surface of a small sun.

Yet here we are, carrying on regardless, because that's what bakers do, It's in our blood to create amazing products no matter what the weather throws at us. While everyone else is searching for shade and ice cream, we're standing next to giant metal heat cannons, keeping the shelves stocked and the public fed and happy.

Here's to the bakers covered in flour, running on caffeine, determination, and copius amounts of sweat, we've got this πŸ’ͺ πŸ₯§

My 5 minute cool down break is officially over, so it's back into the bakery furnace for me 😭

One last thing though, a huge thank you to our customers for being so understanding when orders take a little longer than usual. We promise we're not slacking, we're just trying not to melt into the the work top and floor.

We seem to have two kinds of customers,

Those who love our gravy so much they'd happily have us plumb it directly into their house so it's available on tap 24/7.

And those who somehow don't even know we make our own gravy from scratch, let alone sell it πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

If you're in the second group, you're seriously missing out.

Our gravy starts the old fashioned way, with a proper butter and flour roux, then we add 100% pure beef and chicken stock. The result? A rich, velvety texture and deep savoury umami flavour that keeps people coming back for "just one more dip" approximately six times per meal.

If you're a fan of KFC gravy* there's a very good chance you'll fall head over heels for ours. If not, your still going to love ours anyway πŸ˜‰

*Disclaimer: Unlike certain famous gravies, ours isn't made by filtering cooking juices through a deep fat fryer 🀒 we prefer our gravy with flavour, not a side of existential questions.

Well, the phone went dead.
A few hours later, who pulls up with a speeding ticket in his hand, dust flying everywhere, begging for a steak and ale pie? none other than Jeremy himself.

Our new Deluxe Cheese & Onion has well and truly stolen the hearts (and taste buds) of many of you.

In fact, it's been so popular that the cows are threatening industrial action because they can't keep up with the milking πŸ„

But if you like your cheese with a little kick, why not add jalapeños for just 10p extra 🌢️

Our order book for deliveries is very close to being full (which is both amazing and slightly terrifying for Mr & Mrs Pie) but we still have a few collection slots available.

If you've been sitting there wondering, "What's all the fuss about?" or "Are these pies really that good?" this is your sign to find out for yourself.

A little warning though, our pies have a habit of turning first time customers into regulars.

I'd like to take a moment to say a massive thank you to Beth.

Most of you know me as the face of the business, but behind the scenes there's another half of the team who deserves far more credit than she gets.

Beth is our accountant, the person who answers the majority of your messages on Messenger, the one who makes sure your orders are priced correctly, and the reason we're actually making a profit. Left to me, I'd probably sell a pie for 20p and spend the evening scratching my head wondering where all the money's gone.

She's also the delivery driver because despite running a business that travels all over the place, I still don't drive.
What's even more impressive is that she does all this after finishing a full time job in a demanding high school. While most people would be putting their feet up, Beth is busy answering messages, sorting orders, balancing the books, and ferrying me around with pies in the boot.

She does all of this without ever expecting anything in return. Well apart from making sure the business succeeds and that I don't accidentally bankrupt us with my pricing strategy.

Running a small business comes with plenty of highs and lows, and Beth is there through every single one of them. She's my sounding board, my problem solver, my biggest supporter, my best mate, my delivery driver, and most importantly, my loving wife.
So from me, and I'm sure from all of our customers too thank you Beth.
This business simply wouldn't be what it is without you.

Now if you see your pie arrive on time, your order priced correctly, and a reply waiting in your inbox, there's a very good chance you have Beth to thank for it!

Now im not saying our pies are the best in the North West........but we're not saying they're not either.

One thing i can say with absolute certainty is that they're seriously addictive. Trust me I speak from personal experience.

Every single day (including today)I find myself trying to sneak an extra pie onto my own order list. Then the sensible side of my brain pipes up with "Alan do you really need another pie?" The answer is usually yes but apparently that's not the correct answer.

Honestly the temptation is unreal. Freshly baked pies coming out of the oven all day long is enough to test anyone's willpower.
At this rate I may have to check myself into the Pie-ory although I'd probably just end up asking if they do pie with chips and gravy in the canteen.
If pie addiction is wrong, I don't want to be right.
