Happy 2026 everyone!
A happy 50th birthday to my friend Edith for yesterday.
Cupcakes are lemon with lemon curd with lemon buttercream. All decorations were edible apart from the emblem and the picture of Edith with her dog Murphy.
The paw prints are candy melts with chocolate cake inside. Other decorations are icing or meringue decorated with edible gold leaf and edible gold ink or glitter. Everything handmade apart from the meringues… can’t have lemon cake without them right?

Congratulations to Sophie and Ryan on their wedding. Sadly couldn’t make it but glad to hear the cake was good and I got to make this autumn rustic cake for them both ❤️

I did go over the platform again with buttercream but thought it looked cute and was excited I nearly finished so I took a photo. 😅

Bottom tier is a 10” lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd filling
Top tier is a 8” white vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.

Officially my last cake of the year 🥹💖

Always remember that 6” cakes always look bigger than you think. I didn’t make many 6” cakes always 7-8” thinking oh that’s pretty heavy and ended up with so much cake left. Now I know tall 6” cakes deserve more love 🥰
