One of my favourite things about Diwali is having family and friends together around the table.
There's something so lovely about a house full of laughter, everyone catching up, the children running around and, of course, lots of delicious food!
I've always loved hosting, especially planning the menu, making everyone's favourite dishes and adding those little touches that make a gathering feel special.
And over the years, I've learnt that a little planning really does go a long way.
From confirming who's coming to checking dietary preferences and organising the food ahead of time, it's often the simplest things that make the biggest difference.
Because as much as I love preparing everything, my favourite part is actually sitting down, sharing the food and enjoying those moments with everyone.
That's why I thought I'd share this little Diwali hosting checklist with you. Just a few things I've found helpful when getting ready for a family celebration.
And here's another thing I've learnt along the way: you don't have to prepare absolutely everything yourself!
If you've already planned your main meal, why not leave something sweet to us at Sandy Mama's Kitchen?
Our Diwali dessert service is a lovely way to finish your celebration, with one less thing on your to-do list.
Swipe through our checklist and save it for your Diwali planning.
And if you'd like a little help with dessert, send us a message with your event date and guest numbers. We'd love to be part of your celebration!
Here's to good food, happy homes and making more memories around the table.
