A beautiful sunny day here in Sussex today, the rest of the flock will be sheared in a couple of weeks, although some of the younger ewes decided they wouldn't wait and have started rooing.

The lambs have grown well on the Spring grass despite the unseasonably dry and warm conditions we saw a few weeks ago, its hard to believe we are only six or so weeks off of weaning already.

As we were very fortunate with the boy girl ratio this year the selection of this years keepers will hapenning the next few weeks.

Off into the little paddock to enjoy the longer grass.

Well thats lambing 2026 done as we pass our final due dates.
21 ewes went to the ram, 21 lambs born, 1 set of twins and one miss.

Its definitely a girl year for us, which we are delighted with as it will give us plenty to choose from for our keepers.

The final result is 14-7 to the girls!
