🐑 Just 4 weeks to go! 🐑

In just four weeks, we’ll be back at the South of England Agricultural Society , once again joining the Animal Barn.

We’ll have a group of our Ouessant sheep on display, along with plenty of information about this fascinating little breed and the The Ouessant Sheep Society

It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in Ouessant sheep — whether you’re simply curious about the breed or thinking about starting your own flock — to come along, meet some Ouessant in person and have a chat with us.

It’s always a great show and a fun day out for all the family!

Feeling fortunate, we have managed to source BTV-3 vaccine from our vets today, and syringes and needles arrive tomorrow.
We always monitor the Bluetongue situation and have been lucky that there hasn't been cases near by.
However seeing what is unfolding in the west country shows just how quickly the situation can change. Numbers have gone from very low to hundreds of tests pending in a little over a week.
So far in here in the South East there has been no cases, partly I'm sure because of the hot dry weather, however that wont last and we are a few showers and a strong South westerly from being in a similar situation to those in the South West.
Many are now kicking themselves for not vaccinating sooner and we didn't want to be in the same situation.
The vets are already gearing themselves up for something bigger, so keepers should heed the warning.
The symptoms being seen this year are far more severe and cases could rise rapidly.
Our vets although no cases locally are allocating the vaccine to the highest priority first.

If you are considering vaccinating, then we would strongly suggest discussing this with your vet sooner rather than later.

Well thats lambing 2026 done as we pass our final due dates.
21 ewes went to the ram, 21 lambs born, 1 set of twins and one miss.

Its definitely a girl year for us, which we are delighted with as it will give us plenty to choose from for our keepers.

The final result is 14-7 to the girls!
