Couldn't have put it better if we tried

Have you enjoyed a pint of Turn & Burn 🔥? We'd love to know your thoughts!

Pennine Brewing Co have excelled themselves with this brew! What a belter! A golden 3.9% pale ale that has herbal and spice notes, hints of malt and is very drinkable. 🍺

Before the pub doors open, there’s a lot already happening.

The casks are loaded early, the van heads out and the day becomes a succession of roads, yards, back doors, cellar drops and pub deliveries across Yorkshire.

Some are straightforward. Some decidedly aren’t.

A quick lunch somewhere in between, then on to the next stop.

It’s the less-seen side of a small independent brewery, but one of the most important.

That pint waiting quietly on the bar has probably had a busier morning than you have.

Something darker is coming. 🍂🍺

The school run...

The mornings are cooler.

The first leaves are turning...

And autumn is quietly tapping on the brewery door.

Which means it’s nearly time for Equinox, our September Dark Amber.

At 4.8%, it brings smooth, rich bitterness with a dark, chocolatey undertone — a proper autumn flavour to enjoy in a glass.

We've been brewing it this week, so look out for it on bars soon.

750 litres of our Amber Necker — that's around 1,320 pints — freshly brewed two weeks ago, now conditioned and ready to be casked off and delivered to the pub. A proper 3.8% amber ale. Smooth, sessionable and far too easy to drink. 🍺

Turn & Burn has passed inspection. 🐾🍺

Ty, our brewery dog, has given our latest special a careful look-over in the field next to the brewery.

This coming week, we’ll be delivering Turn & Burn, our new 3.9% Golden Ale.

It’s an easy-drinking golden ale with herbal and spice notes, balanced with gentle malty flavours.

Bright, golden, and ready to head out to pubs across the region.

Ty’s verdict?

Looks good.

Smells interesting.

Still not allowed any.

Look out for Turn & Burn on bars soon.

What is b**r poking? 🔥🍺

It’s an old b**r tradition involving a red-hot poker, a bottle of b**r, and a head brewer who looks far too comfortable holding one.

Tim explains what it is, where it comes from, and what happens when hot metal meets cold b**r.

Spoiler: it gets foamy.

And slightly dramatic. And ever so tasty!

What exactly was our head brewer Tim doing with a hot poker, a bottle of Pennine b**r, and our brilliant sales team Abbey and Karen this afternoon?

Good question. 🔥🍺

It involved fire.
It involved b**r.
It involved a very old tradition.
And it turned into one of the more unusual tasting sessions we’ve had at the brewery.

All will be revealed soon…

Rate the roll. 🍺
One full cask. One awkward wet drop. One delivery-day decision.
Do you walk it down carefully?
Do you get a rope involved?
Or do you trust the roll, stand one up and hope the brewery gods are feeling kind?
We’re giving this one a steady 7.5/10.

Satisfaction level: strangely high.

How would you have done it?
