Was in town yesterday to go to Ulster Hall and managed to not have dinner early enough so finally had the chance to schneak into Orto Slice.
For a real slice test, grabbed a Margherita slice, which was £4. It leans a bit more into NY style and not the usual sit in pie from Orto, which makes more sense.
Really do like the tiny space it occupies as it's sort of a no fuss approach (although for a real slice shop whack some napkins and herb shakers on the counter for anyone to use).
For the price point it was a decent slice but F**K ME did they go heard on the pesto. Was not expecting it as walked in the door, looked up at the menu above my head, and ordered on. Was only when looking at why the thing was caked in pesto did I look back inside at the TV menu (worst invention of the 21st century) and noticed it said it there.
Next time will just.make sure to say sack throwing it on and maybe bake for like 20 seconds longer - but v hard to complain when it's £4
