🐣 The Easter Eggs Have Been Sealed!

Don’t forget, we’re giving a FREE Easter Egg to every child who visits us with their parents on Friday 3rd April and Saturday 4th April!

We believe every child should be able to enjoy Easter, and with the ongoing cost of living crisis making things tougher for many families, this is our small way of giving back to our community.

We’ll also have a selection of allergy friendly eggs available so more children can be included.

Please spread the word and make sure to come and see us on either of those days!

Please note: To keep things fair for everyone, there will be 1 egg per child.

As you might know, we started lambing a bit earlier than expected this year and space in the shed has been very tight. The plan was to bring the singles inside at the start of the week, but with lambing kicking off early, they’ve had to stay outside for now.

This wee fella was born outside in the last few hours and, thankfully, the rain and wind have finally eased. Lambs can cope with cold and rain, but cold, wind and rain together can be deadly.

The forecast is looking much better for the weekend, which should give him time to dry off and toughen up if the weather turns again. We’ll pop a little jacket on him if needed.

The rest of the singles will be brought in this morning.

Well done mum 😁

Lambing update…

Two emergencies tonight 🚨

The glamorous parts of lambing they don’t tell you about 🤮
Removing this ewes rotting placenta after she had vet assistance the other day to get her two lambs out. Unfortunately neither survived, however part of the placenta didn’t come away naturally so to avoid any infections I had to remove it carefully. She should make a full recovery but will be on the cull list now.

It was rather stinky😆
