A truly special beer experience: 2025

This special annual release from has landed every year since 1997, boasting a rich, malty body and high ABV, typically brewed with all British ingredients with some hop variation along the way.

This year’s release is no exception and, in my opinion, one of the very finest examples of the annual series.

Expect a full body and mouthfeel with a deliciously complex malty backbone complete with notes of caramel and dried fruits, balanced by bitterness from British hops. A special sparkle of zesty orange peel and marmalade are wrapped around the aforementioned profiles to create a perfect companion to the winter season for enjoying alongside seasonal dishes of roasted pork or cheese platters.

A fine from which is based on their with a hop lead.

This beer rightfully can boast a full mouthfeel with a balanced citrusy punch bowl with aromatic grassy notes to round it out.

It’s becoming a firm favourite as an easy drinking pale ale from the brewery for me, great work! 🙌

Proud to have helped forge 📜

A collaboration beer from in partnership with showcasing the finest of British and traditions in this heritage ale backed by 518 years of combined expertise.

The result is a stunning British session airing on the sweeter side with a delightfully delicate malt backbone showcasing notes of caramel, milk chocolate with a ‘biscuity’ dance on the palate.

Rich, malty, sweet and fruity, this classic dark ale has long been a go to straight out of Southwold. Nuff said!

Pie and beer were made for eachother, but here we have a combination complementing both within the same dish!

The flavors of this beer from / shine through, their rich profiles emboldened as this beer is reduced within a medley of umami, tart, sweet, and savory flavors.

This, to me, only compliments the sweetness of the pastry whilst adding complexity to the vegetables, with mushrooms leading the charge…. Landing with nuances of coffee to add a rich and tasty ‘bite’

At 5.4 ABV, don’t forget to pour a generous helping alongside a fine British dish! 🇬🇧

I was lucky enough to get my hands on first ever dark mild - and boy did it deliver! Just look at that head 🤩

Overflowing with nutty character, from the moment you pour, you’ll be treated to stunning hazelnut and ‘peanutty’ aromoatics which translate beautifully onto the palate.

Sip slow and savour, for this beautiful example of the Dark Mild style is perfectly balanced by profiles of light chocolate and even some dried fruits.

I could sip this all evening and at 3.4%, you’ll be back for more!

It’s back, and not a moment too soon

In these strange times we live in, add a splash of joy to your day with this re brew from

As good as I remember it, packed with and hops (two of my favourites) this beer delivers a perfect punch of fruity, dank, grassy goodness that doesn’t guild the Lilly with anything other than just being beautifully balanced.

A go to favourite ABV of mine, it’s 6.5 ABV for ‘de bleaking’ even a whisper of mundanity!
