A big thank you to everyone who visited the Sunday September Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market. It was lovely to welcome new people to the farmers market and to say hello to our many loyal customers too.

We had a few stallholders missing due to holidays buy they will be back next month.

The Sunday farmers market returns on the 1st Sunday of October which is Sunday 4th October.

We look forward to seeing you then and hope you enjoy your purchases.

Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market opens today - Sunday 6th September from 10am.

Some of the items to look out for include Kentish Sunrise coffee, macarons (available from Nix Bakery) for the last time in 2026), Caribbean marinades, pebble artwork, chocolate bars, locally brewed beers, artisan breads, mincemeat, London breakfast sausages and more.

R and D Plants are due back at Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market this Sunday 6th September.

They will have with them their home grown plants including perennials and some drought resistant plants too.

We recently caught up with them for a quick interview:

What is it that you produce?

"We grow perennials, shrubs, herbs, seasonal bedding, veg plants, strawberry plants, planted hanging baskets, plus festive Christmas decorations and wreaths"

What inspired you to start your business?

"We had a very large garden, so to keep costs down we grew as many plants as we could. Before long we had more than we needed, so the extras went to boot fairs. People loved them, we grew more, and eventually the nursery began".

Do you have a favourite plant?

"All of them. When you start from a seed or a cutting and grow it into a saleable plant, you end up loving every single one".

Laura provides traditional cakes by the slice including lemon drizzle and this months cake of the month which is Apple and Cinnamon.

This Sunday 6th September Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market returns 10am–2pm in the courtyard and surrounding grassed area.

Look out for fresh fish, artisan breads, cheeses, honey, local beers, sausages, roasted coffee, marinades, chocolate treats and more.

Butterfly Gardens & Jambs Owls are open, Riverside Café breakfast is available from 9.30 and the Steam Train runs from 12.30.

On his stall this month you'll find a selection of roasted coffees including the Great Taste Award winning coffee Kentish Sunrise.

A coffee grinding service is available at the stall too.

Looking for a marinade?

Rica Homestyle is back at Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market on Sunday 6 September with a delicious selection of their homemade Caribbean marinades and chutneys.

Tamika, the creator behind Rica Homestyle, was born in Jamaica and raised in a single‑parent home with her mum. Her grandad played a huge part in her upbringing — especially when it came to food. Those early flavours inspired her to begin crafting her own gluten‑free, vegan‑friendly Caribbean marinades and chutneys during lockdown in 2020.

We asked Tamika a few questions about her business:

What achievement in your business are you most proud of?
“Being able to see the changes and how I have evolved since the business started. Having returning customers who let me know that since using my products their meals and the way they eat is much better.”

What small eco step does your business take that people might not know about?
“We ask our customers to return their empty jars so we can sterilise them and reuse.”

Which of your products do you secretly love the most?
“Garlic and Lemon.”

Hall Place Bexley Farmers Market is back this Sunday 6th September open from 10am to 2pm, and as always entry to the farmers market is completely free

Expect a lovely mix of local, seasonal produce including:

* Fresh fish and hand linked sausages
* preserves, chutneys and marinades
* Cheeses and roasted coffee
* Locally brewed beers
* artisan breads
* home made chocolates and chocolate bars

and more

You’ll find the market on the Courtyard hardstanding and surrounding grassed area near the Visitors Centre, right in the beautiful grounds of Hall Place.

We’re proud to be the only Accredited Real Farmers Market in the Borough, meeting nationally recognised standards for authenticity and local provenance.
