This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, gain hands-on experience and grow your skills in a real working tearoom environment.

You’ll learn all aspects of catering and running a Tea room including:
Preparing food
Making & baking our delicious lunches and cakes
Learn how to work in a team and so much more

No experience? No problem! Full training and support will be provided. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and wants to build a career in catering and hospitality.

The importance of having time out…

This weekend was only the second weekend I’ve had off in the last 15 months since taking over a vintage tearoom alongside running our Events & Outside Catering business.

And wow… did I need it!

Running a business is one thing. Running two very different sides of a business is something else entirely!

Our Events & Outside Catering can mean anything from feeding 10 people to catering for 300 — every event different, every requirement different, and a whole lot of organising, staffing and admin happening behind the scenes.

Then there’s our beautiful 200-year-old vintage tearoom

31 covers inside, another 30+ outside in the garden, plus takeaways… and you never quite know what the day is going to bring. Footfall can change dramatically, food orders can go from quiet to crazy in a heartbeat, and there really is no such thing as a typical day!

I know so many small business owners will understand that feeling of constantly being “on”. There’s always something else to do, someone to organise, an email to answer or a problem to solve.

But this weekend reminded me how important it is to step away, breathe and have some fun.

So where did I go?

To Blackpool for the 80s Weekender with my bestie!

We met at school when we were just 5 years old and we’ve never looked back. That’s a LOT of years of friendship… and yes, you can have a guess at my age!

Music has always been our passion, so a weekend full of 80s music, dancing, laughter and friendship was exactly what I needed.

Feeling very grateful… and slightly less exhausted!

Here’s to all the small business owners who need reminding that taking time out isn’t a luxury — sometimes it’s exactly what keeps us going.

Now back to work and ready to open ours doors again tomorrow ♥️

We are taking a break

This weekend the Tearoom will be closed. It's been a long year and it's hard work running a small business full time and a little break is much needed.

But don't panic we will be back up and running on Wednesday, we will be all fresh, renewed and ready to get the kettle on again.
