โจ Top Tip - Lamb Curry โจ
Letโs start with the positives ๐
Itโs been over 10 years since my last visit to , and I have to say the venue has improved massively. The dรฉcor, outdoor seating area and parking facilities are all excellent and really help create a great first impression.
The standout dish for me was the Lamb Curry ๐๐ฅ
Packed with flavour, well seasoned and the lamb was cooked perfectly.
Now onto the areas that let the visit down and this is feedback I shared directly with the management team on the day because constructive feedback is important.
Unfortunately, we were the last table to receive our food and it genuinely felt like weโd been forgotten about. We were advised of a 15-minute wait, but it ended up being closer to 45 minutes.
When the food finally arrived, the Mixed Grill wasnโt sizzling and the curries were only lukewarm. For those who follow my page, youโll know a sizzling Mixed Grill is part of the experience, so I asked for it to be returned to the kitchen.
To their credit, it came back sizzling ๐ฅ
However, this time some of the meat and onions had been overcooked. I enjoy a crispy wing as much as anyone, but these had gone a little too far ๐
The Goat Curry was also returned to be reheated. The goat itself was tender and full of flavour, but as youโll see in the video, the dish was quite oily.
Overall, I donโt think the food itself was the main issue here. It felt more like service delays had a knock-on effect on the quality of the dishes by the time they reached the table.
The positive takeaway is that the kitchen manager listened to the feedback, acknowledged the issues and has invited us back for a complimentary Mixed Grill, so weโll definitely be returning for a second visit soon ๐
