Jeremy Clarkson has opened up about leaving co-star Kaleb Cooper close to tears following his most humiliating blunder yet on Diddly Squat Farm.🚜💔
Speaking at the Hawkstone festival at his Farmer's Dog pub, the former Grand Tour star admitted that his latest farming error left young farmer Kaleb devastated during filming for the upcoming series of Clarkson's Farm.
Teasing the new series of Amazon hit Clarkson’s Farm, he said viewers will see the consequences of some more of his mishaps and his guilt at how it affected Kaleb Cooper.
"He’s the stupidest cleverest person I’ve ever met or the cleverest stupid person. He doesn’t know anything but when he does learn something my God, he’ clever at working it through. I couldn’t have done any of it without him really."
"Kaleb does a speech where he's almost in tears, saying 'I'm not from a farming background. Lots of farmers don't think I'm a proper farmer. You've completely messed this up. They are all going to think I can't farm.'" 💬😢
The broadcaster admitted the guilt weighed heavily on him after seeing how upset his co-star became over the incident. He joked about his reaction to the emotional showdown: "It's one of the most heartfelt tragic things you've ever seen. I felt so ashamed, genuinely ashamed. I had to go home and have 42 pints of Hawkstone to make myself feel better." 🍺🙈
During the event, Jeremy also reflected on how working on the farm has completely shifted his priorities after decades of driving supercars on television.
"I got paid an absolute fortune for driving round corners too quickly while shouting. Now I get paid about £2.75 for birthing a calf at 3 in the morning but I much prefer the calf." 🐮
Despite the constant blunders and steep learning curves, Jeremy praised Kaleb's unmatched work ethic, calling him the cleverest person he has ever met and admitting he could never run the farm without him.👨🌾👏
