A wonderful afternoon with great company on our bee experience session. Here we are making frames, before putting on our bee suits and out to open up a hive and see how the bees work.

What a truly unforgettable day! 🐝👑

Yesterday, Stephen and I had the incredible honour of meeting His Majesty King Charles III during his official visit to Blandford Forum.

We were absolutely delighted and humbled to have been selected to represent Dorset as one of a small number of local producers invited to showcase the very best of our county’s food and artisan products during the Royal visit. It was a privilege to stand alongside so many inspiring Dorset businesses, charities and community organisations that had also been invited to take part in this special occasion.

After nervously greeting His Majesty with a bow and curtsy, we had the pleasure of talking about our bees and the honey produced here in the beautiful Tarrant Valley. We explained that our hives are located throughout the valley and spoke about the different varieties of honey we produce.

Knowing of The King’s long-standing interest in nature and beekeeping, it was wonderful to see him take such an interest in our observation hive. We also spoke about our handmade beeswax candles, explaining that they are made using the wax cappings from our own hives, so every candle is a natural product of our bees. His Majesty admired the detail and joked that he hoped they wouldn’t melt in the summer heat!

We were honoured to present His Majesty with a gift hamper containing our Runny Honey, Soft Set Honey, Orange & Ginger Infused Honey and Naga Chilli Infused Honey, together with our handmade beeswax candles. His smile when he noticed the Naga Chilli Honey and remarked, “Oh… hot chilli, hot honey,” is a moment we will treasure forever.

Representing Dorset on such a special occasion is something we will never forget. As a small family business based in the Tarrant Valley, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who has supported us over the years. Your encouragement has helped us reach moments like this, and for that we are truly thankful.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a memorable day. It was a real celebration of Dorset, its people, its communities and its outstanding local producers.

A day we will cherish forever. 💛🐝

We are absolutely delighted to share that Tarrant Valley Honey has been invited to represent local producers during Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s visit to Blandford Forum on Thursday 16th July.

The visit celebrates the wonderful community of Blandford Forum, where Their Majesties will be meeting local charities, councillors and businesses as part of their visit to the Corn Exchange and its exciting future.

We feel incredibly privileged to have been selected as one of just a handful of local producers showcasing the very best of Dorset, including our award-winning honey and the story behind our bees.

We are also delighted that Barbara Cossins, founder of Love Local Trust Local, will be joining us on the day. Barbara has been a passionate champion of local producers, provenance and supporting independent businesses across Dorset, making her a wonderful ambassador for everything that makes our local community so special.

Whether you’re coming along to welcome Their Majesties or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, it promises to be a very special day for Blandford and the surrounding area.

If you’re in town on Thursday, we’d love you to stop by, say hello and celebrate this fantastic occasion with us and our fellow local producers.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little family business. Your encouragement has helped make opportunities like this possible, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you all.
