Taken a few days to recover from the amazing Live at Livvies and preparing for tomorrow night where we're feeding our friends at Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club again.

Now that I'm alive after Livvies I'd like to move the spotlight to this group of exceptional individuals at ASNsory Crew SCIO who fight the good fight helping kids that need that little slice of extra help.

They are holding a race night on 9th October in Blantyre Miners Welfare to raise funds for their group.

It's sure to be a fun night, please book and go enjoy yourself and support a local cause. I'll be holding a pop up that evening just round the corner and will be donating to them from this. Look out for posts nearer the time.

An amazing day yesterday!!

Well done and thank you to all the organisers ❤️

Great to see our community come together and support this trust which is an amazing location for Blantyre. We need to use it or lose it and going by yesterday it has unlimited potential for our area and small businesses.

LIVE AT LIVVIES MUSIC FESTIVAL
What's On today - Blantyre

Today’s the big day! Blantyre’s music festival “Live at Livvies” is on from 10am, Saturday 22nd August 2026. Tickets are just £2 for adults and £1 for children. Family tickets are £5 for up to 3 children (Please keep in mind it’s cash at the door for ticket sales).

Organisers have loads of fun prepared from the Kid’s Talent Show (Register here to participate: https://www.david-livingstone-birthplace.org/talent…) to the live performers line-up in the evenings.

There’s Vendor stalls on the grounds, food from the Café and Ice Cream Shop and Food stalls available to purchase and toys set up in the park to keep the wee ones cheerful!

PLEASE REMEMBER‼️:

To bring your blankets or chairs for sitting on the grass enjoying the music.

The café is take away only and a reduced but still delicious menu none the less!

There will be NO parking at the site so please park at the railway station or even better walk.

Tickets are cash at the door so remember to bring some change with you please.

And get ready to have tons of fun this Saturday the 22nd of August at the David Livingstone Centre!
