The Way Outback is a brilliant little MicroBrewery and Tap Room, with a wide range of beers, ales and cider. Don’t expect a “1664” on the tap, but tack your pick from the huge menu on the wall, from a “Take Me to Valhalla” to “Im Not Your Dad” to “Hey You Guys!” there is something for everyone, including a good range of Non-Alc, Gluten Free or Vegan beers on offer too.
Be ready to share your table, weekends can get busy and space is limited, but with a great friendly atmosphere and clientele you may make new friends!
Outback doesn’t have a kitchen, so bar snacks only, but venture across the road to the partner Barrel Room, for Pizzas by Thurs-Sat [Separate Review Coming… ]

Possibly Southbourne’s largest establisment, The Brewhouse & Kitchen is a pub and microbrewery, offering a range of locally brewed beers, ales and ciders, with many made on site - some great IPA’s etc., but dont expect the standard lagers on tap. The food is good “pub grub” with a nice roast offered on Sundays. Loads of space for parties and functions.
Late nights at the weekend, often with live bands or DJs can be a fun night out. Also often show live Sports on the projectors including the 6Nations Rugby.

Bang in the middle of the high street, Ludo Lounge is part of small, Nationwide chain of ~250 lounges.
Easy place to relax and hangout. Reliable, bar kitchen style food, including a Brunch menu, Burgers, Poke bowls and a range of Tapas dishes, alongside a full menu of hot & cold drinks, beers and cocktails. Order at the bar or via QR Code.
The relaxed atmosphere is good for a catch up and a drink and great for families and kids, but can be a bit lowkey for those wanting more energy on a night out. Also checkout the small outdoor roof terrace upstairs, complete with its original Woolworths sign.

We love it here!! Super chilled, fun atmosphere serving great local Gin, Conker Cocktails and beers from ; just a short walk downhill, from Sobo highstreet.
External food vans supply pizzas, burgers, tapas… it varies week to week.
