🍗 B A S T E delivers mouthwatering, restaurant quality food from their food truck located at The Hawkstone Arms in the heart of The Cotswolds.

Thankfully for me, this wasn’t my first time trying BASTE and it certainly won’t be my last after I previously enjoyed one of their melt-in-your-mouth burgers from another of their splendid food trucks located at Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop
•
We opted for; Traditional Buffalo Wings (top left), Honey & Hawkstone Lager Lager BBQ glazed Wings with sour cream, smoked bacon and spring onion (bottom right) and their seriously loaded Tater Tots, the perfect compliment with a cold, refreshing, Hawkstone Cider…or lager, whichever is your preference of course! Not only do you get incredible value for money with good portion sizes, but your taste buds will thank you too.

The Hawkstone Arms is the ultimate watering hole with Hawkstone Cider, Hawkstone Lager, IPA, Session Ales and more, all made with love from locally sourced apples and barley. There is often Live Music, great food options rotating on and off, friendly staff, and a wonderful buzz in the air which is complimented by very well priced drinks. It’s a true hidden gem based in Bourton on the Water gaining popularity by the day.

piddaji bring a mouthwatering taste of Turkey to London in the shape of their wonderfully crafted Pide.

These famous oval-shaped Turkish flatbreads come with a variety of toppings. The toppings change from Turkish region to region ranging from sausage, spiced meat, an egg and cheese, and so many other incredible varieties!
•
This fare is often described as Turkish Pizza, all prepared by Piddaji’s expert Pide chef in front of your very eyes, and pulled from a wood-fired ceramic oven.

A cosy & intimate halloween date night 🎃 Treviso restaurant truly is one of London’s hidden gems! Authentic & fresh Italian food 🇮🇹 The service was sublime! We’d barely sat down before we had complimentary fresh bread with olive oil & balsamic served to our table! The team had personality, passion & professionalism. Nothing was too much to ask! You could tell there was a shared love of great food, wine & company! The atmosphere was warm & welcoming with a classic but cosy aesthetic, the walls lined with vintage wine bottles.

We stuck with a seafood theme throughout our evening with a promise of the freshest seafood around & it did not disappoint. Starting off with a sharing dish of Gamberetti (pan fried king prawns with garlic, chilli, white wine on crostini bread), immediately realising it was too good to share! The king prawns were beautifully cooked, succulent & delicate.

For the main course the evenings special of Seafood Linguine was a must, a mixture of fresh clams, mussels & king prawns in a light chilli sauce. Also on the menu was a fresh Salmon pasta dish, with courgettes, tomatoes & cream. The salmon itself was so delicately cooked & truly did melt in the mouth. With a creamy & indulgent garlic & chilli infused sauce it was the perfect dish. All of this complemented by a lovely bottle of Pinot. What more could you ask for? 🥂

Having originally intended not to have a 3rd course we simply had to try more! The classic Italian tiramisu was a must as was the Affogato, but with a surprise twist on a classic with a divine honeycomb ice cream under the rich espresso shot!

The restaurant was buzzing. This is a special place where a love of fresh quality food is a priority. All at a very affordable price point. We can’t wait to go back again soon, thank you Treviso! ❤️

🇦🇷 Che Sandwiche deliver the Argentinian fare that dreams are made of every Sunday at Crystal Palace Park Market with this mouthwatering Steak Box, which includes; rib-eye steak with garlic new potatoes, rocket, chimichurri criolla sauce & an egg for good measure. 🍳

These guys truly bring some South-American gusto and flair to London for those crisp Sunday walks in the park!

This was simply the PERFECT Glamping trip at Elmley Nature Reserve! These Luxury Woodland Bell Tents are in a quaint setting as you venture down a cute dirt track, meaning it’s just you and 3,300 acres of wonderful wilderness and stunning nature on an island in North Kent, just 40 miles from London!
•
You can cosy up in the hammock with a crackling fire next to you, listening to the sounds of nature under a warm, heavy blanket. Elmley offers a wonderful escape from the usual fast pace and immediacy of life.

They have comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, all the facilities needed for cooking, and showering the next day, and also breakfast options in their beautiful rustic barn.

🇮🇳 Dishoom delivered the goods on a sleepy Saturday morning!
•
This mouthwatering naan roll, freshly hand baked in a tandoori oven was truly something to behold. Aptly named “The Wrestler’s Naan Roll” due to its mass and beauty delivers an incredible burst of flavours that were complimented with an incredible chilli jam! It really is something to grapple with due to it containing so many high quality ingredients such as; Smoked streaky bacon, peppery pork sausages and runny-yolked egg.

For under £10.00, you really cannot go wrong here. Just make sure to book in advance as these guys are so popular, and for good reason. The interior of the New Dishoom Covent Garden is modern, and oozes class, with high quality service to match. No request was too much, with endless care and attention to ensure we always had a full glass of water, and that everything was good with our meal. I am already looking forward to visiting again very soon!!!

🇬🇧A wonderfully quintessentially British getaway at Backwell House!
This lovingly restored Georgian house is surrounded by the rolling hills of North Somerset, just a short drive from Bristol and is a MUST visit!

The staff couldn’t have been kinder with one of the warmest welcomes we could have experienced. We were swiftly shown to our room, with all bookings including a stunning continental breakfast featuring; perfect pastries, a choice of a hot breakfast, fresh juices, yoghurts, jams, and so much more.
•
The room itself was very cosy, and had stunning views, with a bathroom offering the perfect vintage and modern blend. Downstairs are luxurious Chesterfield sofas contained within their classy bar area, where, in the winter, you can warm up next to a roaring fire whilst sipping on craft cocktails.
•
To make this place even more special, you are able to have a stroll around their gorgeous grounds and admire the array of fresh fruit and vegetables that are entirely home grown and used in their restaurant picked from the garden.
•
As you can tell, we can’t wait to go back very soon! No request was too much for the staff, service with a constant smile, and never ending class, and sophistication…does that remind you of anyone? 😉
