What a joy it is moving fences when the sun is out in October! This was our view at Helmdon today, as the main Spring calving herd continued its rotation through the grazing paddocks. The leaves may be turning brown but there's plenty of green left in the grass.

We'll be butchering again soon, so please get in touch with any special requests or orders. Now might be a good time to get your freezers stocked up for the shorter days and colder evenings with plenty of Organic certified, Pasture For Life beef.

The clover is coming back with a vengeance.

Rich in nutrients, it is all our cattle need for the Autumn period, even for the freshly calved Hereford cross mommas.

Our Pasture for Life certification ensures this is all the cattle can and will eat, along with a conserved hay version in the winter, so there's no cereal, or cereal byproduct converting into tough muscle fibre.

We're proud of our Organic status too, so you can be sure no chemical has entered our food chain, so no glyphosate causing leaky gut syndrome, no synthetic wormer, no chemical fly protection, only natural solutions.

Mob grazing in action: healthier cattle, well-grown calves, and plentiful grass despite the drought. The trade-off? Longer days and well-worn boots.

Hi guys, we've been busy again in the cutting room, and we think this is the most delicious beef we've done yet! The taste test is in, and these are some of the most melt in your mouth steaks we've ever had. We were blessed with our latest steer having a fantastic rump, and a great covering of fat, causing splendid marbling all over.

We've also been hard at it making burgers, so grab yourself some before they sell out.

Prime steaks are yet to hit the freezer, there are Ribeye, Sirloin, Fillet & Rump, and we also have some amazing extra fatty mince which makes the best Bolognese ever!

Also, Gemma at jimblesjumble has kindly restocked us with her Jams, Preserves & Marmalades, and there are some different flavours there to try.

We have soft set honey from Bees n Business, too.

Fat, mob-grazed Herefords. 90 day rested paddocks on our lightest soil. Still no supplementation and going strong.

Mob-grazing has had to be tweaked this week, to find a bit of shade for the cows. They've been using the sheds during the day and grazing in the evenings until the early mornings. We've been busy making hay and silage, and in-between times, finding time to appreciate the wondrous sights of our beautiful, English countryside.
