Mob-grazing has had to be tweaked this week, to find a bit of shade for the cows. They've been using the sheds during the day and grazing in the evenings until the early mornings. We've been busy making hay and silage, and in-between times, finding time to appreciate the wondrous sights of our beautiful, English countryside.

Our farm shop is open as usual, Saturdays, 9:30am - 1:30pm for your Organic beef needs. We also have a webshop to browse at www.oldparkorganics.co.uk

It's been a fun couple of weeks on the farm. Kit only breaks when you use it... Can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs... From the wrong size diesel filter to the rake throwing a literal wobbly, we've managed to get a bit of silage made, and it should be very decent stuff, too. Apologies if we haven't been very active on here but we have been very active out there!

We've managed another round of beef butchering this morning, thanks to the dream team of Meager (expert butcher), Thomas (expert mincer), Charles (expert packer), and myself (expert tea maker). We couldn't do what we do without Ray and our boys, and you can inspect their handiwork this coming Saturday morning, in the farm shop!

This latest offering includes these mammoth Sirloin steaks, very tender Rump steaks, succulent Fillet steaks, and BBQ cubes made from the very best Topside. These come in packs of 500g, ideal for a skewer.

So why not grab these on Saturday before they get frozen, ready for (hopefully) some warmer weather to drag that grill back out into the sun.

We had a nearly full team comprising Ray Meager expert butcher, plus Thomas & Charles in the cutting room on Thursday, and have a fresh selection of Ribeye, Rump, Sirloin & Fillet steaks in the shop, perfect for the barbecue and not yet frozen. Take advantage of these as we will be freezing them as soon as the shop closes.

And we have more burgers! Made from our own recipe of fresh, grated horseradish, non GM & gluten-free rusk, sea salt, & white pepper, in classic 4-packs.

We also have fresh & frozen Beef mince (perfect for making your own burgers when the sun's out) and chilli for these chilly May evenings.

All these can be found on our website, too, www.oldparkorganics.co.uk for free collection or delivery inside woolcool insulated & icepack filled boxes.

Topside, Silverside & Sirloin roasting joints are still available, as are rolled Brisket and all the slow-cook cuts - braising steak, chuck steak, shin rounds, Osso Buco, diced beef, oxtail, tongue, Ox cheeks, bones, as well as all organ meat such as kidney, liver, & heart. These are cheaper cuts but augment a diet as they are nutrient-rich and contain essentials such as Vitamin B12 and Iron.

Shing's beautiful hens continue to lay well so we have plenty of Pastured Eggs, honey from Bees n Business plus a few assorted pork & lamb joints form the freezer. Also, preserves & jam from plus Organic Jumbo & Rolled Oats & Muesli base, Kombucha, Cordial, Tallow Balm, soaps & deodorant.
