We’ve been shortlisted! 🏆 The Sundorbon is a finalist for Indian Restaurant of the Year, South West of England, at the Asian Curry Awards 2026. Some of you may have seen us in Bridport News.

We’re up against some brilliant restaurants across the South West, so whatever happens, being shortlisted already means the world to us. It wouldn’t have happened without a few people we want to thank properly.

Sam. Most of you already know her. She’s been part of the Sundorbon for six years and she works incredibly hard, from the first table of the night to the last one out the door. Her current recommendation? Railway Lamb with truffle butter garlic naan.

Our chefs, who cook every dish fresh, every single night, and never cut corners.

And you, our regulars, who come back week after week. Some of you have been with us for years, and we don’t take a single visit for granted.

Our food is different, and we’re proud of that. Our house specials, like the Railway Lamb, you won’t find anywhere else, and we cook with ingredients most places don’t use, from fresh curry leaves to truffle butter. We’ve been on South Street since 1988, and we’ll keep cooking for you the way we always have.

So to say thank you, Bridport, we’re giving away £50 to spend with us every Sunday until awards night. 🎁
