Greens & Beans Kitchen is growing! 💚

Thanks to the wonderful support we’ve received from our lovely customers in Bridport and the surrounding villages, we’re delighted to announce that we’re now expanding our deliveries to Dorchester!

Our usual Tuesday evening deliveries to Bridport and Beaminster will continue exactly as normal, and from Thursday 29th October, we’ll also be delivering our home cooked plant-based meals to Dorchester.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported our little kitchen so far, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming some new customers!

* Bridport & Beaminster – Tuesday 27th October, FREE local delivery.
* Dorchester – Thursday 29th October, £2.50 delivery within 3 miles of the town centre.

Minimum food order £14.

This week’s Greens & Beans Kitchen menu is here!

We’re bringing you another selection of nourishing, home cooked, plant based meals, full of flavour, packed with vegetables and made with care.

We focus on wholesome ingredients, minimal processing and delicious, comforting food that makes eating well that little bit easier.

Here’s what’s on offer this week:

Loaded Sweet Potato Wedges – £7.20
Sweet potato wedges topped with savoury black beans and colourful vegetables, finished with a lovely cooling sour cashew cream.

Rich Tomato, Roasted Pepper & Three-Bean Stew – £7.20

Three varieties of beans in a rich, savoury tomato sauce with sweet roasted red peppers. Served with fluffy garlic and rosemary potato wedges and fresh, lemony cabbage.

Sticky Pineapple Sweet & Sour Veg – £7.20

A colourful combination of roasted vegetables, chickpeas, edamame and pineapple in a deliciously sticky, gently tangy sweet and sour sauce. Served with fragrant lime, garlic and spring onion brown rice.

Lemon Scone with Blueberry Spread & Lemon Vanilla Cashew Cream – £5.95

A lovely homemade lemon scone served with fruity blueberry spread and a smooth, creamy lemon and vanilla cashew cream.

All freshly prepared in our Greens & Beans Kitchen.

Orders close Friday 16th October for delivery on Tuesday 20th October.

We’ve given our website a complete makeover so it better reflects what Greens & Beans has become, and we’d love you to take a look.

We’ve also added a new feedback page.

If you’ve already ordered from us, we’d really love to know what you’ve enjoyed, what you’d like to see again and any dishes you’d love us to create in the future.

We make nourishing, home cooked plant based meals using plenty of vegetables, beans, lentils, wholegrains, nuts and herbs, with processed ingredients kept to a minimum and added oil used only occasionally.
Proper comforting food, made from good ingredients, that just happens to be plant based.

with creamy mash, garden peas & rich onion gravy

We’re a small family business based in Bridport, cooking nourishing, home cooked plant based meals from scratch each week.

We use lots of whole food ingredients, plenty of vegetables, beans, lentils and grains, proper comforting food that just happens to be plant based.

This week’s menu includes:

Butternut Squash, Lentil & Thyme Cobbler
In rich onion & thyme gravy, chive & parsley scones and greens.

Sticky Miso-Maple Aubergine & Edamame
With lime, spring onion & tamari brown basmati rice.

Mushroom, Leek & Tarragon Stroganoff
With creamy mash and greens.

We’re really looking forward to being out and about at our markets this week!

You’ll find Greens & Beans at Seaton Chamber Independent Market and bridportvintagemarket, serving up plenty of lovely plant-based food and drinks from Kaley.

We’ll have our freshly made Nourish Bowls, alongside our filled rolls, homemade cakes and bakes, freshly ground coffee, teas and cold drinks.

Our Nourish Bowls are made fresh for market day, so we only make a limited number. If you already know you’d like one, you’re very welcome to preorder and we’ll make sure there’s one waiting for you. Just pop us a message.

Freshly prepared, home-cooked whole food plant-based meals, ready to heat and enjoy at home.

This week we have:

• Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables in Olive, Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil Cashew Cream with lemon, garlic & parsley baby potatoes and lemony spinach chickpeas
• Coconut, Lime & Ginger Chickpeas with roasted cauliflower, green beans & cavolo nero
• Sage & Onion Lentil Roast with potato & cabbage bake, maple roasted carrots & onion gravy
• Chocolate Orange Cake with chocolate custard

Main meals are £7.20 and desserts £5.95.

Orders need to be in by Friday 18th September for delivery on Tuesday 22nd September (evening).

Minimum order £14 with free delivery within 6 miles of Bridport.

Most of our main meals are suitable for freezing, so they’re perfect for popping away for an easy meal later in the week too.

Greens & Beans has officially received a 5 food hygiene rating,

And even better, we received 0 points in every area. In food hygiene scoring, the lower the score, the better, so zero in each section means there were no issues identified in hygiene, structure or confidence in management. 🥳

The inspector’s comment was:

“Very good standard throughout.”

Although my name is the one on the inspection paperwork, Greens & Beans is very much a family effort. Tel, Arch and I all play our part, whether that’s cooking, prep, markets, deliveries, washing up, loading, cleaning, helping out, or all the little behind-the-scenes jobs that keep everything moving.

We care hugely about the food we make and the way we make it, so this really does mean a lot to us.

We’ve had such a lovely response to Greens & Beans Kitchen in Bridport and the surrounding villages that we’re thinking of bringing our home-cooked meal delivery service a little further afield.

If there’s enough interest, we’d love to offer fortnightly Thursday evening deliveries to Dorchester and the surrounding area, with the option of either home delivery or collecting from an agreed meeting point in Dorchester.

Our meals are freshly prepared, completely plant-based and made for those days when you’d love a wholesome home-cooked dinner without having to cook it yourself.

Home delivery £3.50
FREE collection from our Dorchester meeting point

We’ll offer a different menu each delivery, combining new dishes with some Greens & Beans favourites. Many of our hearty meals are also suitable for home freezing, so it’s easy to stock up.

At the moment we’re simply seeing whether there would be enough interest to make a Dorchester delivery round worthwhile, so if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please leave us a comment or send us a message. There’s absolutely no obligation — it would just be lovely to know!
