Pork belly sandwich from , loaded with chunks of crunchy crackling, zingy fennel slaw, dill alioli and pull-apart pork, all in freshly-baked bun. Eaten in the sunshine out back. What could be better?

Great day out on Saturday at on the Downs. Brilliant to see some many people out in the sunshine supporting our brilliant Bristol independent restaurants and businesses. With live music, cooking demonstrations and kids play areas, there was tonnes to do beyond just eating - although obviously we were mainly there for the food! Our dishes of choice were both hand-cut noodle dishes from wonderful (one with rich spiced lamb and caramelized red onion, the other with juicy king prawns, XO sauce and fragrant ginger), followed by a jam donut from legendary Pipp and a mixed berry ice cream from The Real Scoop. Everything we ordered was delicious, reasonably priced, and served with a smile. Can't wait for next year! 😄🌞🍦

headed here on a weekday night and loved the ambience and small but carefully curated menu. Standout dishes were the crispy artichoke fritti with alioli and sweet caramelized onion with tangy fresh goats cheese. Crab pasta was super crabby and delicious, sausage fregola was rich and flavoursome - but both a touch on the salty side. A lovely addition to the Wapping Warf offering.

***WILSON'S***
Some highlights from our spectacular meal at a couple of weeks ago, including the most succulent chicken with rich pancetta and mushroom puree, and gorgeously sweet slivers of cornish scallop with kohlrabi and herb oil made with seasonal herbs from the kitchen garden. Charming service, impeccable, carefully-considered food, perfect evening - by far our favorite restaurant in Bristol. So deserving of their most recent Michelin star- This place just slaps - every. single. time. 👏

A real treat of a dinner at , tucked away in a corner of Montpelier, for Mr Spoon's 30th Birthday. Highlights include super-juicy pork and prawn dumplings, delicate seared soy scallop, chewy hand-cut noodles with bitter cavalo nero, and sumptuous crispy fried turnip cakes (who knew?!), but honestly every mouthful was a delight. I can still taste that distinctive hum of Sichuan pepper... Topped off with superb service and a buzzing vibe. Can't wait to go back!
