How do you eat yours?…..

No I’m not talking about Crème Eggs (I’m a scoop out the middle then devour the chocolate person 😂).
I’m talking about honey 🍯

🥣On your cereal?
🧁In recipes? (Choc honey Brownies were delicious!)
🥣Drizzled over Greek yoghurt?
🍞layered on a slice of toast?

There are so many uses for honey - I’m trying a new recipe today where you use it to make icecream 🍦😋

🐝🌒 Bees during a solar eclipse be like: "Wait... is it bedtime already?!" 😅

Believe it or not, when a solar eclipse suddenly darkens the sky, honey bees can get totally confused. Since they rely on sunlight to know when it's time to work, many of them stop foraging and head back to the hive thinking the day is over.

Then, a few minutes later, the sun comes back out and it's basically: "Oh... never mind!" 😂☀️

Enjoy the eclipse this evening!

Did you know that a jar of honey can be used in so many ways around your home and kitchen?

☕️Stir it into tea or coffee for a natural sweetness

🥞Drizzle it over toast, pancakes, porridge, or yogurt

🧁Use it in baking for delicious cakes, cookies, and breads (check out my honey brownies ⤵️)

🥗Add it to marinades, sauces, and salad dressings

🥤Blend it into smoothies for a natural energy boost

🍯Enjoy a spoonful on its own as a tasty treat

🧀Pair it with cheese, fruit, and charcuterie boards

Our pure, local honey is harvested with care and packed with natural goodness. Once you start using real honey, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

🍯🐝 Ever wondered how we get the honey out of our hive?

It’s surprisingly easy (if you are a qualified beekeeper 😂).

Mark lifts out the frames, gently convinces the bees to step aside, slices off the wax caps, and then spins the frames in a machine that’s basically like a very large salad spinner! The honey flies out and suddenly you’ve got liquid gold ready for toast or drizzling on your Greek yogurt. Here it is pouring out when we did it on Sunday - delicious 😋

How amazing is that!🍯😄

❓Did you know…

🍯 Honey is the only food that never spoils. Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are still perfectly edible thousands of years later!

🐝 A single bee makes only about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. Every drop is the result of an incredible amount of teamwork.

🌼 The flavor of honey changes with the flowers. Bees collecting nectar from different blooms create unique colours, aromas, and tastes.

💪 Honey is naturally packed with antioxidants and has been valued for both food and wellness purposes for centuries.

✨ It takes roughly 12 bees their entire lives to make just one teaspoon of honey, so don’t waste it!

If you’ve read all that, you must be interested in trying the honey from our hive in the garden - runny honey and honeycomb on your doorstep 🐝🍯
