This is Chris.

Official heavy thing carrier.

Occasional irrigation engineer.

Chief mower.

And enthusiastic tea maker when flower farmer morale is running low β˜•πŸŒΈ

He'll tell you the flowers are "your thing"...
..yet somehow always notices the first sunflower to bloom, comments on how the sweet peas are doing, and definitely has opinions on which varieties should stay for next year πŸ˜‚

As Father's Day approaches, here's a little reminder that flowers aren't just for mums, weddings or special occasions.

They're for anyone who enjoys a splash of colour, a kitchen full of scent or a little reminder of the changing seasons.

So if you're popping by the honesty stand this weekend, perhaps pick up a bunch for a dad, grandad, husband or father figure in your life.

You might be surprised how much they love them.

(They just might not admit it straight away πŸ˜‰)

Just flowers doing what they do best 🌸

One of the things I love most about growing seasonally is that the field changes every single week. New flowers arrive, old favourites fade away, and no two bouquets are ever quite the same.

It's a little reminder that nature doesn't do "same again".

These blooms have spent their days dancing in the Welsh breeze, feeding bees and butterflies before ending up in a bucket, a bouquet or on someone's kitchen table.

That's the beauty of choosing British-grown flowers.

They're rooted in the place they're grown, shaped by the season and full of character (rather like us Welsh folk really πŸ˜‰).

Which one is your favourite? I'd love to know! πŸŒΈπŸ‘‡

Yesterday, seven little jam jars set off on an adventure around Mid Wales.

By the end of the day, they'd all been spotted, scooped up and given new homes. 🌸

A huge thank you to everyone who sent photos and messages! We loved seeing where they ended up (and proving that flower treasure hunts aren't just for children... πŸ‘€)

But those little jars were about more than free flowers.

Every stem started life right here in the Heart of Wales, feeding bees and butterflies before finding its way onto someone's kitchen table. That's the magic of British-grown flowersβ€”they're part of the local landscape long before they become a bouquet.

Choosing local flowers means supporting local growers, local florists and the tiny winged workforce that keeps our fields buzzing along nicely 🐝

So thank you for helping us celebrate British Flowers Week in such a joyful way.

And if you missed out yesterday... don't panic! The honesty stand will be bursting with fresh British-grown bouquets (including the first sweet peas of the season πŸ’•) this weekend.

Turns out the best flowers don't need a passport, just a short trip down a country lane!

✨ A little update from today's flower mission... 🌸

First of all, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out, shared our posts, and sent us photos after discovering one of our little hidden jam jars. Seeing your smiles and hearing your stories has been such a lovely way to celebrate British Flowers Week.

When we tucked those flowers onto benches and into quiet corners this morning, we hoped they might brighten someone's day.

Thanks to you, they did πŸ’š

It's a simple reminder that flowers have an incredible way of bringing people together. They connect us to the seasons, to our local landscape and to the people who grow them. Before they reached your hands, these blooms were feeding bees, butterflies and other pollinators here in the Heart of Wales, supporting biodiversity as part of a thriving ecosystem.

Choosing British-grown flowers means choosing flowers that have been grown with the seasons, supporting local growers, independent florists and healthier habitats for wildlife.

If today's hidden flowers have inspired you, the honesty stand will be stocked again this weekend with freshly picked bouquets and the first beautifully scented bunches of sweet peas of the season. 🌸

Because everyone deserves a little piece of the Welsh countryside on their kitchen table.

Thank you for making today's little act of kindness such a special one.

The wait is over... 🌸

To celebrate British Flowers Week, Bwthyn Blooms and Iris & Stems have been busy this morning hiding seven little jam jars of British-grown flowers around our local communities.

No catch.

No competition.

No strings attached.

Just seven little acts of kindness, waiting to brighten someone's day.

If you happen to stumble across one, it's yours to take home and enjoy. Pop it on your kitchen table, gift it to a friend, or pass it on to someone who could do with a smile.

Because sometimes the smallest bunch of flowers can make the biggest difference.

We'll be sharing a few gentle clues in our Stories throughout the day πŸ‘€, so keep an eye out if you're nearby.

And if you're lucky enough to find one, we'd absolutely love to see! Tag and so we can follow its journey.

Happy hunting... and Happy British Flowers Week! 🌸

One of my favourite moments as a flower grower is seeing freshly picked stems leave the field and begin their next adventure.

On the weekend, the boot of a car was packed full of buckets of British-grown blooms, ready to head off with the lovely Sadie at Iris and Stems

From field to florist, every stem has been grown with care, shaped by the season and picked just a few miles from where many of them will end up.

And here's the exciting part...
🌼 Some of these flowers are about to become something rather special... πŸ‘€

As part of British Flowers Week by Flowers From The Farm, we've been quietly working together on a little project to celebrate locally grown flowers and spread a bit of unexpected joy through our community.

That's all we're saying for now... 🀫🌸

If you're out and about tomorrow, keep your eyes open. You never know what you might find waiting for you.

After all, sometimes the smallest bunch of flowers can make the biggest difference.

When people think of flower farms, they usually think of beautiful bouquets.

I think of this πŸπŸ¦‹πŸž

The bees busy among the sweet peas. The hoverflies darting between blooms. The ladybirds keeping aphids in check. The butterflies dancing across the field on a warm afternoon.

Every flower we grow is part of something bigger.

Choosing British-grown flowers doesn't just support local growers, it supports habitats for pollinators and wildlife too. By growing with the seasons and working alongside nature, we're creating a little patch of the Heart of Wales that's buzzing with life.

Over the next week, we'll be celebrating British Flowers Week by sharing more of the journey from seed to bouquet, collaborating with the wonderful local businesses, and sharing a little bit of flowers love with our local community 🌸

It's our way of celebrating the beauty of flowers grown close to home and spreading a little kindness along the way.

Here's to flowers, the people who grow them, and all the tiny creatures that make it possible πŸ’š

Picked as the sun dipped behind the hills, ready for an early start tomorrow πŸŒ…

A bucket full of philadelphus, foxgloves, orlaya, sweet rocket, snapdragons, grasses and all the little seasonal treasures that make British-grown flowers so beautifully fleeting.

Grown here in Powys, heading just a few miles down the road to a local florist. That's the magic of seasonal flowers: rooted in the land, shaped by the weather, and shared within the community that grows them πŸ’š
