'Probably the best-kept secret in Ireland and N Ireland' Marty O'Neill, Dish you were here at the Kiln Wing Bushmills - Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey Festival.

Many people enjoyed watching both Mill wheels (Palmers and Bonner Mill) in operation this weekend for the Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey Festival. An incredible asset to the village that these two historic Corn Mills are maintained and their water wheels are in good working order. Many locals have happy memories of the Corn Mills, whether it be working in them or, more often, some fun and games as part of their misspent youth when both buildings lay derelict before they were restored to the impressive condition we can enjoy today.
The Dine around Bushmills team was delighted to welcome the well-travelled Marty O'Neill of Dish You Were Here and his charming Mum Marie onboard as we ate and drank ourselves around the village, including a very special feast of delicious products from Maegden. Marie stayed at the Bushmills Inn Hotel & Restaurant and Marty stayed at the Kiln Wing, which is owned and managed by The Irish Landmark Trust.
The Irish Landmark Trust saves buildings of architectural merit and gives these properties a new lease of life by letting them as self-catering holiday homes. They have rescued 25 historical landmarks, including the Kiln Wing in Bushmills. To reserves this unique property, book now at https://www.irishlandmark.com/book/
Thanks to Gary Quate for your advice and help, Linda and Trevor Ramage managing the property in Bushmills for facilitating us for our special Maegden at the Mill Menu, Niamh The Irish Landmark Trust for supporting our events and honouring the previous owner Sam Huey's wishes that the building him and his wife Jan painstakingly restored in the late 1980s would play a part at the annual Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey Festival.
Marty and Marie were the best guests, and they 'got it' from the moment we put the key in the door. We are so very grateful for their support and enthusiasm for this very special place to stay.
