Harvest season is incoming at Elham Valley Vineyard! After months of nurturing the vines, watching the grapes develop and waiting for that all-important moment, the vineyard is now buzzing with anticipation as we begin to prepare for this years crop.

The sunshine and high temperatures we experienced over the summer have brought harvest forward, making this a particularly exciting time to see the vineyard in action. And, of course, our Fifth Trust students are at the heart of it all. Their involvement in the vineyard creates meaningful opportunities to learn, work alongside others and be part of something that reaches far beyond the vines, with harvest being such a moment of achievement for them all.

🍇 Meet the charity behind Elham Valley Vineyard!

Nestled amongst the beautiful chalky soil of the Kent Downs, Elham Valley Vineyard is much more than a vineyard — it’s part of The Fifth Trust, a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and those that identify as neuro diverse for over 35 years.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do, getting involved in all aspects of vineyard life. From tidying and pruning to harvesting our 2,000 vines, and even serving wine in our Vineyard Café, there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and get involved.

And the best part? Every bottle sold and every event held helps to support our charity, with proceeds reinvested into the vital work of The Fifth Trust.

So, when you enjoy a glass of Elham Valley Vineyard wine, you’re helping make a difference too! 🥂
