From Silver to Gold… what’s next for The Boathouse?

The Taste of Kent Awards have always celebrated the very best our county has to offer and in 2024, we were incredibly proud to be recognised among them.
We took home Silver for our beautiful Dover sole in the Fresh Fish category and Gold for our luxury seafood platter in the Ready Meals category. Two awards that mean a huge amount to us, because they reflect what we care about most, quality, freshness and showcasing the very best of Kent’s coastline.
Now, 2026 is in our sights.
We’re already working on something special for the Ready Meals category, with plans to launch a brand new seafood boil that we think will really turn heads. But when it comes to the Fresh Fish category, we want to do something that truly represents the Kent coast at its finest.
And this is where we want your help.
If you could choose one standout fish or product that defines Kent waters, what would it be? Turbot, brill, native lobster, whole plaice, something a little different?
