Beautiful hand knitted Twiddle Muffs now in the Farm Shop. Made by our lovely Sue who has worked in the shop and is very supportive of what we do. Perfect for dementia sufferers giving warmth in winter and activity for restless anxiety

All set up for another week - lots of healthy organic fruit and veg, organic meat and eggs, whole foods, fresh bread and dairy, ice cream, homemade cakes and more! Farm Shop open Weds to Sunday 10am to 4pm

The cows have been in the festival field for a month eating the long grass so we don’t have to cut it too many times 🌾🐮

We then moved them to the chicken field where the grass had grown really long and they munched their way through that for another month.

Now they are being relocated to another field that has some lovely fresh grass… it’s like a new salad bar for them where they get to munch fresh lush green grass.

We move them regularly to make sure they have their dose of Dr Green that keeps them looking so healthy and bright eyed! 💚

We’re incredibly proud to be hosting a fundraising event in support of our very own Imo & Tilda, as they prepare to take on the incredible challenge of swimming the English Channel.

All funds raised will support Swim Tayka, a charity dedicated to providing free swimming lessons and water safety education for children.

Today marks 20 years since the farm lost its rock, Alex was Rowie’s husband and father to Imo, Tilda and Lilly.

Rowie and Alex met in their teens and shared many wonderful years together growing into their twenties they realised they would spend their lives together.

They shared a passion of good food and wanting a simple but honest life with community at its heart. Alex was a deep sea diver in the navy but he left the forces to set out starting Purton House Organics with Rowie.

There were many wonderful years on the farm with Alex and his girls. Sadly Alex was diagnosed with leukaemia and passed away on the 29th of May 2006. The years after were a struggle and running the farm was not easy. But Rowie and the girls are determined to keep the farm thriving and the community spirit there!

In July imo and Tilda will be swimming the English Channel in memory of their dad and his support of their swimming endeavours through their childhood. Alex and Rowie both loved swimming and the girls continue to to feel connected with him when in the open water 🩵🔱
