Happy Birthday Chef Bentley! 🍻 🎂

Well, we managed to finish a little earlier today so we could FaceTime young Miss Bentley over in Japan 🇯🇵❤️ — the perfect birthday evening!

Then it was time to put our feet up and enjoy some delicious sausages from Tom’s Clitheroe 😋 for my birthday tea, followed by a slice (or two! 😉) of this fabulous carrot cake from Barton Bakes 🎂🥕.

It just goes to show… whatever you need, the market can supply! ❤️

Great food, great local traders and plenty of reasons to shop local. 🛍️

Now it’s wine time! 🍷

So we finally treated ourselves to a curry from our fellow market traders/friends at The Authentic Asian Street Food Stall… and bloody hell, it was DELICIOUS!!!

We went for the curry of the day - Lamb Karahi with Aloo (lamb leg/shoulder cooked on the bone with potato) in the most incredible rich, flavour packed sauce. Honestly, it was divine! Proper comfort food! It was soo fresh and absolutely perfect after a looong day 🍛

And obviously we had to get a couple of their chicken samosas too… which we’ve had MANY times and I’m putting it out there… they are the BEST samosas on this PLANET. 🙌

What makes it even better is that the guys behind the food are genuinely some of the loveliest people you could meet. Always so friendly and chatty 🫶🏼

So if you’ve walked past their stall at Clitheroe Market and haven’t tried them yet…

What a dayyy!!! 🤩

Thank you SO much to everyone who came along and said the secret phrase for your FOOT LONG sausage roll 🤣 You guys are so funny hahaha! We’ve gotta make time for a bit of a laugh haven’t we… times are hard enough!

And a massive thank you to every single other person who came along today and basically made us a sell out!! 🙌

Especially all the new treats!! I think it’s safe to say the mousse pots and Angel Cake will definitely be making another appearance… they went down a storm!

It’s just been a bloody great day all round. So many incredible comments from brand new customers, as well as seeing loads of our fabulous regulars who we appreciate so, so, so much ❤️

Now… absolutely NO cooking for me tonight 🤣 Curry for tea from The Authentic Asian Street Food Stall it is 😋
