First meal cooked in my new 30L Tower Vortx Air Fryer. This is a Tesco Mini Roast which is just two chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, two stuffing balls, two chipolata sausages and a sachet of gravy. My dogs had the other Chicken Breast and they also had a Mini Roast. The Roast Carrots, Peas, Potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings were extras not included in the Tesco Mini Roast pack... I also had to make extra gravy! 😊

My second Too Good To Go bag from Pret, the M&S of Coffee shops! 😉 This time around I decided to try the "Dinner Bag" which has a selection of Prets hot food dinner range for £4 and for £4 you get £12 worth of food I think there is quite a bit more than that here! 🥰

So what did I get in the bag? Well this is what I got:

● Falafel and Halloumi Hot Wrap
● Swedish Meatball Hot Wrap
● Kale and Cauli Macaroni Cheese
● Prosciutto Macaroni Cheese
● Chicken Arrabbiata Pasta Bake

Full price of the above would have been over £30. The wraps are £6-£7 each and the pasta bakes are around £8 each... £4 for 5 meals is pretty good and I would definitely get this bag again, I believe it's more practical than the Chilled & Bakery bag! 🥰

Pub Grub inspired dinner this evening:
● Salt Dry Aged Ribeye steak
● Caramelised Onion
● Fried Mushrooms
● Sweet Potato Fries
● Blue Cheese Sauce.

Salt Aged Ribeye Steak is from Aldi and the Blue Cheese Sauce was made just by melting Saint Agur Creamy Blue. The whole meal was delicious and the steak very tender and flavourful! 🤤

● Stuffing (for me only NOT for the dogs 😉)

Apart from the Sprouts and of course Gravy all cooked in my Tower Airfryer! 😉

Decided to try something and somewhere new today. After seeing the viral CA Japanese Pancakes all over Facebook I wanted them but didn't fancy travelling all the way to London for them when a train ticket is more than double the price of the actual pancakes. So I did a Google search for "Japanese Souffle Pancakes" and the place "Flavours Café" came up in my search. I was running some errands in Colchester City Centre so I decided to give them a try. In addition to the sweet fluffy jiggly pancakes they also had some savoury options and plenty of other sweet and savoury options and I will be back at a later date to try and review those.

I will start by saying the Café was pretty quiet when I went in which is a shame since they have some unique food items on the menu and not just a generic Café... use it or lose it.

For drink I ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee which is an Iced Coffee made with strong coffee and condensed milk it was lovely sweet but not too sweet and hit the right spot.

I decided to order Soufflé Pancakes with Pistachio creme, Pistachio Nuts and Whipped Cream as a topping there were a few different flavours to choose from; Chocolate, Biscoff, Cookies and Cream ect. I had to wait a little while for the Pancakes as they were made fresh from scratch to order and I didn't mind waiting, there's a saying "Good things come to those who wait" 😉 The pancakes were warm and beautifully fluffy and light, sweet they hit the fluffy pancakes curiosity spot right in the feels. I saw some savoury fluffy pancake options on the menu and other items like toasties and waffles which I am looking forward to trying at future outings.

If you want to try this place it's: Flavours Café, St John's Street, Colchester. Opposite where Wilko used to be.

Yesterday's Brunchfast posted today. I thought I would give this little place a mention because they have become a bit of a favourite of mine. Low spoons day yesterday morning so I ordered the English'ish Breakfast from Chaiiwala which is a newish eatery in Colchester which opened last Summer. They are a chain and are an Indian street food Café. They sell various cakes, desserts, breakfasts, lunchtime foods, and various hot and cold drinks. I love them because they are refreshingly different from the other food offerings on the High Street and it's nice to have some Indian food offerings that are not a curry. Also, there are quite a few vegetarian options on the menu for my veggie friends! 😉

On to my order the English'ish Breakfast which is an Indian style take on the Full English Breakfast with the English'ish Breakfast you get the following items:
● Masala Omelette
● Masala Beans
● 2 Lamb Bacon Rashers
● 2 Chicken Sausages
● 2 Hash Browns
● 2 Slices of Toast

Because many Indians are either Muslim or Hindu they do not serve anything with Pork or Beef hence the Lamb Bacon and the Chicken Sausages. I think the Lamb Bacon tastes nicer than Pork Bacon and the Chicken Sausages are lovely and spicy. Also, I don't know what they do to their toasts it's just regular white bread toast but somehow they've made it taste fire 🔥 what sorcery is this?

I also decided to try a small extra item the Aloo Tikki which is like a spicy Potato Croquette it had a nice slightly sour and spicy taste to it yummy! 😋

If you like Indian food or like something a little bit different that is reasonably priced I recommend giving Chaiiwala a try! ☺️
