When you get a new delivery from Oink Towers …. And it features a new sauce and 2 new additions to the stable, how do these guys keep knocking it out of the park I will never know. First up is “MOO TANG” which is billed as “Steak & Chop Sauce“ … I can certainly agree that I envisioned this pairing with Steak and Eggs as the breakfast of champions with this on it.

Next up is “Rootin’ Tootin’ Cajun Salt” which brings forth a lovely flavour that you associate with dishes from the Bayoux … Get that over some Big Prawns and you are in heaven. Last but not least … “Hot Honey Garlic” and this really brings the flavour, to be honest, I could see all 3 of these being used in a nice Beef & Reef ensemble and all of it would make your eyes roll back with every mouthful.

Also ….. They just released “RYELANDER” tonight, is it Bourbon ? Is it Whisky ? Who knows , I’ve ordered a bottle and I’ll let you know soon enough. The Christmas brochure this year has you getting an absolute maelstrom of Christmas Ideas and just when you think you have seen it all ….

Well well well , what is this ? I had a delivery from Oink Towers today and upon opening it was a new style cap , the obligatory Haribo (I use this to bribe the child into doing a chore or two) and a bottle of sauce in bubble wrap.

The bottle rolled out of the wrap and I was genuinely surprised and let out a hearty “Woohoo” … it’s an incoming release from and is “HOG Heaven” a Carolina Barbecue Sauce that has the right blend of flavours and is going to be a sure fire winner. The perfect blend of Garlic, Mustard, Spices and the cut of Vinegar is absolute perfection to my palate. This is getting a release in the New Year and I would advise to get two bottles at least, you’ll understand why

Imagine how excited I was to hear that had rereleased the “King Crab Orange” colour scheme again …. And that they did a Rambler with the colour matched top and drinking straw, I spotted a post from Charles saying they were flying out the door, so an order was thrown in and I’m happy to get my hands on one of these as they sell out far too fast

Well, back in September, I attended for its third outing and had a go at the “Hot Wing Challenge” in the knockout rounds, and despite putting in a fast time, I was beaten by another dude who was basically half a wing ahead, he was super rapid. A few other guys said they were coming after me and entered the same round, they didn’t even get halfway through because they chewed 😂. Valiant effort guys 🤜 but alas we were beaten by a far better person, anyway ….. the point of this throwback post is that tickets are on sale for Sizzlefest 2024 now …. So go get some.

Breakfast done differently today, I just couldn’t hack having another bowl of Cheerios , so I’ve had a Brunch I suppose. Potatoes thrown into the air fryer and given a good roasting on a low setting, a Flank Steak was seared then rested. Eggs were scrambled and just as they started turning, I threw some Gaucho into them to seal the deal.

The Flank Steak was sliced up thick, and thrown into the air fryer for the last minute to give them a crispy edge , the great thing about Flank is you can really give it some heat and go into well done territory … then cut across that grain and it is still soft with no surprises or complaints.

Of course, it needs a little extra flavour boost so the eggs had a teaspoon of “Impressive Rooster” sauce stirred into them for a kicker and the Steak and Potatoes got some “Raspberry Chipotle” sauce over the top ….. happy with that.

Don’t come at me about the Steak ….. I care more about my toilet seat than I do about your opinion on that. It’s how I wanted it done today.

Well now …. What do we have here ?

“Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner” …. An absolute Genesis of all savoury flavours to bring out your tastebuds and have them singing.

I received this on Saturday and I’ll admit, the contents of the box had me a little overexcited, the Rub was duly noticed and after a few hours of prepping some stuff, I recalled the new addition, washed my paws, popped the top and tickled my palm with a teaspoons worth then took a lick …….. 🤯 …….. and I seriously wanted to tear out the front door at high speed and get a chicken right away. This stuff is absolutely going to change how you do Chicken, nay…. It’s going to be a savoury booster for other things too, and I cannot wait to start giving this a whirl.

There are quite a few seasonings and rubs in the range that I consider a staple and get used far beyond BBQ and often, this is added to the list, GET SOME (product is tagged for your pleasure)

When you get a notification from DPD that an parcel is incoming on Saturday morning and you are “???? HuH ???” …. So I get home and 2 hours later, a parcel is deftly placed on my porch. And I pick it up and Immediately think “Jeeeese this is heavy”

The absolute shock of opening it up and finding the new A&O Apron, a Marinade/Spray Bottle and a mysteriously sleek Black Box that …. Once opened, revealed something I have wanted for absolutely years … a Serbian Cleaver. confessed it’s an early Christmas present and I am absolutely humbled down to my core by this generosity, I may have had a little snivel (it’s been a tough week or so) …… thank you and the rest of team , you are truly LEGENDARY.

Now, personally, get yerselves over to the shop and have a look at these, products are tagged, you will not be disappointed

Hopefully these storms have finally subsided. I’ve been hankering for some Pastrami Beef Rib ever since I had some 3 this year courtesy of .cactus.coffee.smoke … what they did was astounding. I got these a few weeks back with the intention of curing them with the Pastrami kit but the weather did me a dirty.

Threw them in the freezer, once these are defrosted they are getting a cure and hopefully a good session in the Frontier at the weekend. Keeping a beady eye on the weather
