In 2000 the Heart of England Co-operative Society launched the Helping Hearts Awards scheme helping charities and worthy causes across our trading area with over £1.2m pledged to date. Since

then thousands of people in Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire have benefited from the scheme. Catherine Evans, Community & Membership Adviser of the Heart of England Co-operative Society, said: “We receive applications from some fantastic groups which are going all out to engage with their communities, bringing them closer together and working together for the benefit of everyone around them.”

Millions of people have been affected following two devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, with many families now in urgent need of shelter, food, clean water and medical care.

Heart of England Co-operative Society has donated £2,000 to the DEC Venezuela Earthquake Appeal to support emergency relief efforts.

🎉 Our new community food store in Flying Fields, Southam is now open! 🎉
We're delighted to welcome customers to our brand-new 3,000 sq ft store, which also introduces a fresh new visual identity for Heart of England Co-op that will be rolled out across more stores in the future.
Designed with sustainability at its core, the store includes solar panels, rainwater harvesting and dedicated nesting spaces for birds and bats, making it our most environmentally friendly store to date.
The opening has also created 14 local jobs, reaffirming our commitment to investing in and supporting the communities we serve.
It was wonderful to see so many people joining us to celebrate, with face painting, bucket drumming, the chance to meet Cooper the Bear, goody bag giveaways and more.
Thank you to all our colleagues, suppliers, partners and community groups who helped make this milestone possible.
🩵We look forward to serving the Southam community for many years to come.
